Why do people bitch about helping newbies??

I don't under stand why people say stupid shit like " oh I'm sick of holding newbies hand walking them threw there grow bla bla bla". We I thought that is what this was fo asking for help or advice sharing ideas and experiences. So if you don't want to help some one or give advice the DON'T . But don't waste your time reading the post AND REPLYING " go read a book" instead of just answering the question. People have to start somewhere. And sometimes reading it in a book and doing or seeing it for yourself could be challenging. And Once again I THOUGHT THAT IS WHAT A FOURM WAS FOR. DON'T READ THREADS YOU DON'T WANT TO ANSWER !! Instead of being rude maybe give people some advice help or encouragement. Don't waste your time writing stuff like "we can't grow your plants for you" or "go read a book". I have seen more of that than people just answering?????
Kind of like a dude that walks into a mechanic, never having done any work on a car, and starts asking questions about how to soup up his engine. First go fucking read about how engines work and get the fundamentals down. If you need help with that, then ask.

It's the same thing. Plenty of people here willing to help. Just do a little research first and don't be a retard. Most of the basic information is already readily available if you just look for it.

And that is the problem, the overseer/slave drivers/boss complex peeps want it done all for them...
They don't care... they do not care what you think, or I think, they will argue with you because they already know the answer, and will keep asking until you agree with them...
Reality check...
Since this thread started:
There has been at least 3 threads started on 'when to flush'
My plant has leaves that are curling cause i pounded 1500 ppms of synthetic in there for a couple feeds. im a newb with dirt, newb mistake. i was trying to test the limits. i achieved my goal. Do you think i should just start feeding it straight water? Dont make blanket statements like dont flush. Plants dont need alot of nutrients at the end anyway....fact. They dont eat much. If theres any nutes in the soil you can probably do just fine with straight water for a weekish bud, just sayin ;)

EXACT-FUCKING-LY!

This also really pisses me off. *Going off your car analogy. It would be like someone who knows jack shit about a car and a mechanic tells him that he needs a new alternator then the clueless fool starts arguing about why and could it be this or that.

They're on well water - bam, their crops die due to an 8.0 pH. They need more than that, but I get what you're saying... lol

Even with all the reading, you have to take the things you are reading and put them into practice. I found that most of what I read had to be altered to fit my specific need, not be used at all or I found a better way to do it other than what I read. Learn from your mistakes and don't argue with the people your asking advice from.
No doubt. I read alot, but just like the people whos questions i answer i kinda just want someone to say " ya bud, thats a good idea ", or tell me bo fn way, your smokin rocks. A guy asked me if he should top his apical leader two weeks into flower the other day cause he didnt think his fim worked on it. He trusted me enough to ask me cause he knows that he can ask me anything and i wont laugh at him. Somtimes its just nice to have good people to bounce stuff off of. Reading only gets you so far and everyone seems to have different opinions, also alot of people dont tell you the whole story. I was on a couple flushing threads where a bunch of cocky vets were sayin flushings for toilets hahaha but not until i started poking those badgers with sticks did i find out that they reduce their ppms at the end to almost nothing...but then claim that theyre not flushing. If i would have just listened like a sheep id have just kept up my 1200 ppm shedule until chop which would have been the wrong thing to do. :):):)

Which reminded me of a joke...

A vacationing penguin is driving his through Arizona when he notices that the oil pressure light is on. He gets out to look and sees oil dripping out of the motor. He drives to the nearest town and stops at the first gas station.

After dropping the car off, the penguin goes for a walk around town. He sees an ice-cream shop and, being a penguin in Arizona, decides that something cold would really hit the spot. He gets a big dish of ice cream and sits down to eat. Having no hands he makes a real mess trying to eat with his flippers. After finishing his ice cream, he goes back to the gas station and asks the mechanic if he's found the problem. The mechanic looks up and says "It looks like you blew a seal."

"No no," the penguin replies, "it's just ice cream."

I'm a newb and ask questions, but when I do I bring research with it, and the possible answers and solutions I have come up with through my own research. I agree that newbs get a rough run around here sometimes, but a lot of them deserve it. I have gotten a rough time once from UB, and he said something along the lines of go learn something about botany... SO I went and read a couple of grow and botany articles and books. To tell you the truth, sometimes telling someone to go read or research IS THE BEST advice they can receive. Not only may they learn the answer to the questions they have, but they will learn things that will help them and prevent them from asking lazy questions in the future.

Just this newbs pov... BTW. Anyone know what kind of lights I should use, what kind of nutes work with mj, and how to germinate a seed? lol, jp jp

nobody bitches about helping newbies. they bitch about the same questions being asked over and over that have been answered and discussed to death thousands of times, often in stickied threads that no one should have any trouble finding. they bitch about giving legitimate answers and having people complain because it's not what they wanted to hear. they bitch about people asking questions that demonstrate they haven't done the slightest bit of reading on the subject beforehand. they bitch because some people expect internet strangers to completely run their grow and anything less is "newbie bashing".

it gets to be a headache. it's like asking how to do algebra without knowing how to count. what you're REALLY asking is "will you do this for me? i can't be bothered."
Fuckin' WELL SAID!!!!!!!

On that point, I had a guy come to me when I was at a shop in California many years ago, and due to the fact that he refused to pay me a diagnostic fee 3 times, instead of having his car done for under $1000 in a week, he was presented with a bill of almost $2000 2 weeks later, and drove away with a trunk full of parts that he didn't need.

they forget where they started. the internet itself, lends itself to badmouthing. this is because unlike being in person, one does not have self preservation in mind. since they know they will never meet up, they, in their COWARDLY WAY, find it an easy outlet, to abuse someone, they have not the guts to do IN PERSON. online gaming is the same, even worse. people are litterally being "encouraged" to be rude, vulgar, and not what any DECENT PARENT (a rarity any more), would be proud of. one of the negatives of the online stuff. i have noticed, to some degree, that they can be "de-fused" more, by ignoring the comment, and returning a kind one. this includes the f work every sentance. i do not deal with these types. again, oounce you are brought up poorly, your odds ln life are more difficult. how about people who are allways spitting?? its actually a constant "tribute to their surroundings"....they are showing (albeit subconsiously), total disrespect for the people, and surroundings. to them, no rules exist, or should. all should be at their "whims"....also. those who accept things. but NEVER ,EVER, say "thankyou". over and over, to. they feel all should just "come" to them, with no work on their part, or effort. i think a little bit of HUMILITY would go along way for everyone. i try and help newbies. even when someone else chimes in that my advice, (according to garp), is b.s. replys should be directed to the peroson who has the qwestion. not to those who offered help. im more of a traditionalist. the ones the mains stream media squashes, if they are of any significance. (threat). so. i hope i have helped, even a little, to answer the qwestion of why some rag on newbies. they forgot where they came from.

I don't rage/bitch at newbs but I will skip over their thread if I feel like they haven't even tried to help themselves first ....

Big deal wanna fight about it ?
Sure, but what would the fight yield? (sorry, had to say it)

I don't mind helping out new members. What drives me crazy is when they show a pic of a 3 day old plant and want to know how much it will yield? That one takes the cake for me otherwise, I try and help when I can.
