A friend told me that if you trim the leaves, going from one side to the other (e.g. trim the bottom right hand leaf, then in a few days trim the next up from that on the left side and so on and so fourth) as you go up the plant it helps produce more/bigger buds?:joint:

I have been looking at a lot of pictures on this site and have came across quit a few plants that have these little brown balls sitting on top of the soil. Can some one fill me in on what this stuff is?

The Holders I want are 10 bucks and you will need two eco-lux lights by GE they are 10 bucks a piece thats 30 bucks times four is one twenty. I am just wondering if it sounds like it would work before I fork out the one twenty.
