  • And Mike and irish are confirmed frauds now. Mike won't return my contact attempts. Irish disappears from all the forums. You guys be the judge.
Just because I'm sure this page still gets some visits. Do not under any circumstances buy GLH panels. If you have a problem with them, Mike will not fix it. He will drag his ass.

I'm out my panels after Mike asked me to send them back. He's had them almost 2 weeks now and I haven't heard a word from him.
    irishboy,

I noticed you have disappeared from the forums. Anyways, I'm putting this here so others won't make the same mistake I did. Stay away from GLH's they don't do what they are supposed to and if you have a warranty claim, good luck on getting it honored.
Irishboy I know you said to ask about LED's or at least that is what I read on one of the other forums I am hoping your one in the same since you both are using the same information. I think I am narrowed down to at least the 1x280 Spectra, 3x90 Ufo and or 1 magnum light. I will say I have been reading everything that I can since this is going to be my first grow ever . I plan on doing either a 2 plant scrog or just do a complete 4 plant grow. The nutrients I planned on using is the AN Ph perfect system and the planets are going to be 1 Jack herer, sour diesel, caramelo, critical sensi star.I know I dont have the grows under my belt so I dont expect anything great I am just trying to get at least .5-1oz off each plant but I know there are tons of things that can go wrong. I am hoping you can direct me to which light might work best.
haha just stoping by to say whats up ive seen your post, very good and detailed i must say. keep up the good work ha :)
hey just joined. i grew my first plant this year it was an auto, grew it by my window jus sunlight bottled water and a miricle grow..it was fine not loads of it but not much effort of money put in. winter is in now so i was thinking about led's but heard and read that they only grow just the plant without the bud, so i was going to to go for cfl's. either 4x 85w or 1x 250w..sorry for the essay but what would you think..?
If you don't mind me asking, when feeding and water schedule do you use like feed every weed or 3 days. Do you flush during the grow etc thanks bud

So far i use. bio grow full mix. Bio grow, bloom, all mix, tomo juice, seaweed, 4 weeks into flower bombastic and also molasas.

Is all this necessary and you think any thing is missing thanks
    Hello Irish,
I have been wanting to run a grow journal similar too yours in a 48X60 grow tent in a custom built undercurrent system. This is for a college experiment in sustainable ag. Anyhow I contacted the company you recommended with request for one of their models I could do a side by side comparison of using an hid or hips. As a person who likes to experiment yourself and has allot of reputation as far as LED grows go I would be most grateful if your put in a good word on my behalf.
    Thanks,
    Mike
    Hey Irish:

I' have a few grows under my belt and I'm looking into LED's. How much LED light would I need for a 5X10 Flood and Drain SCROG? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks..
No problem man I understand the keep it on the forums deal. Thanks for the info I'll keep looking around. Might have to go CFLs with my budget but hey what can you do :/
i rather keep it on the forums. the 180w or 290w will be good for a small scale. GLH also makes a 100w UFO u have to contact them for it though since the website isnt updated
    Hey irishboy,

New member to the forums and I was browsing around before I made my first post about a few things and I noticed you're pretty much the go-to guy on LED grows. I'm looking to start a very small scale grow of maybe 4 plants and was wondering if you could dumps some wisdom my way about what sort of lights set-up I could use? I checked out GHL as you speak very highly of them but I think even their lowest scale light is a bit large for what I'm looking to do. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but are there any other LED set-ups for a smaller scale that are also effective? Thanks for any info you can give me. If you'd like we can work out a form of communication that doesn't involve these forums but that's up to you. I've got about every IM client imaginable lol. Thanks again.
sounds like u already have a good game plan, if i were to use leds i would of course use the one i use, works great for me and my meds are crazy good. i would rock a bunch on the 180's to cover that space, 290's would be really good but u can use the foot print in that size room. tell the owner u follow my threads and u can get a discount
Hey man it looks like your the bro with the "411" on where to get the most ideal led on the market currently- I am looking into investing into a new grow op of 5k and would like your input on the equipment you think I would benefit from the most- This grow op will be supporting 4 medical card holders - My grow limits are only restricted by a 12x12 room- I know what I ask requires alot of typing and mind searching however I have 4 people besides myself that are waiting and that really puts me on the spot, I can get good genetics with no problem as I reside in cali and have my own grow lic and medi card- I was perhaps entertaing the idea of have three grow tents one for mums's and clone's and the other two as flower room staggered @ 4 weeks apart ( perpetual harvest with a 2 week cure)- Irishboy I have until October to get this grow op up and running- I look eagerly to you response- much Aloha
keep them pretty height like maybe around 28"-30" at 1st, and have the seedling off to the side and slowly harden them off and bring closer to the light. ive seen a 100w one of these lights too close and hurt the seedlings. its also ways better to start off higher and work ur way down
Hey irishboy, I have been following your grows and I purchased the spectra 290 based on your success and recommendation. Could you let me know how close you place the lights to the seedlings?
