i always get my stuff from hydro stores so i cant help you there. but i guess it depends on how big you want to grow your plants they say a 600 watt is good for a 4x4 area. id say around 6 plants would be good

ive only seen it at a few hydro stores. or what kind of store you talking about

its a 600 watt ballast that allows you to run two bulbs off it but you need a 220 volt connection to use it similar to what ur dryer uses

they sell a dual 600 but you have to run 220 to use it

What do u have your trays sitting on? And how often are u flooding now ?

i really like the neatness of your plants and how you get them to stay the same height. I thought about doing this same setup but i wasnt sure how often to flood and any issues with algea?

no i calibrate mine about once a week. or if i dip the pen and think what its reading is a little off

i have that meter i really like it. and yes you will need calibration solution.

why would you want to run a set up like that? plants need continuous lighting

maybe you could throw in some cfls just to boost the lumens a little
