1. Yes the negative pressure will stop smell leaks. But you don't want big gaps because that will cause light leaks, causing your plants to hermie.
2. You can add a active air intake but it isn't necessary, a passive air intake will do. Just cut a hole large enough for air to come through.

Sorry if i came off as an asshole guys that was not my intention at all. Your right this isn't a temp thread i was just sharing how i place my bulb over my canopy. I hope you can find the right distance for you grow and good luck. +Rep
That's true, but the beauty of growing indoors is that you can provide perfect growing conditions. But like i said in my opinion it's too hot, everyone grows different though. +rep for the input
Oh yea +rep back at ya fabfun.
four is good, however you can do more sog style. My tent is 24"X36"X52" and my 250 watt covers it nicely but i will be upgrading to a 400 watt sometime soon. I need some more juice.
That hand shit is stupid, put a thermometer at the top of your canopy to see what the temp is. If it's over 83 it's too hot in my opinion i have my 250 watt hps about 9inches above my canopy and my temps are 78 at the top of the canopy. Here's a chart that you can use to measure the distance.
Hey riddleme whats up. i tried your make it rain technique and it worked great! I won't be going back. Quick question tho. Do you know if jack's nutes comes all the nutrients your plants need or should i add something to the mix?
1. You can lower the screen a little but if that's where you want the canopy it'll work fine but your lower canopy won't get much light penetration if any.
2. Yes you can top your plants to fill the screen quicker.
3. You should switch to 12/12 when about 75% of the screen is filled, the rest...
I'm no outdoor grower but i'm sure you missed the season. PS your plants look a little hurt, post some better pics so we can let you know how to correct your problems.
