I wanted to use less nutes this time, and more quality soil mix, as i'm trying to go more towards the organic route. I like using nutes to guide the plant, not push it. Only applied nutes once during veg., then once at the start of flowering. They've only started the extreme yellowing in the...
I'm at 7 weeks flowering and the buds look delicious, but I'm concerned because all plants have lost most fan leaves and those remaining are mostly yellow. I understand towards the end of flowering this process is generally normal, but still.... HOW MUCH YELLOW IS TOO MUCH? My fear is that a...
6 plants, a couple weeks into flowering, all are very healthy
i'm currently running a 250w HPS for the majority of the time, and then using a 1000w HPS for about 1 or 2 days per week. any potential problems?
the idea is that the 1000w is more than enough for 6 plants but the super high lumens...
soil grow. the plants are about 6 weeks into flowering and the flowers are looking quite pretty. but then today i noticed spider mites! damn!
the spray mix instructions not only ask to spray entire plant, but then a few hours later, spray entire plant with plain water. i'm concerned because...
any suggestions on where to purchase a controller, to switch fans on/off according to humidity levels?
seeing lots of glorified controllers for $300+, but thats for temp/humidity/co2. i just need humidity.
haven't tested this yet but was hoping for feedback first.
the idea is to save electricity by turning off ventilation during the night cycle,
if the vents are turned off about 15 minutes after the light and during the rest of the night cycle, will the humidity almost definitely get too high by...
for a few dollars more, i can relieve myself of a little bit of the moving around. i like to move them a little anyways. but considering the amount of space covered (estimated 4x6 feet), i feel the light-mover would help. also, i'm feeling more like the 600W than 400W. i'm using soil in 5...
24 plants is the goal for my next grow.
plenty of space.
i have a 1000W hps in a cooltube for flowering, but i plan to get a 450-600W for vegetative.
with a light-mover on a 20 minute cycle, will a single 450-600W hps provide sufficient light for 24 vegetating plants?
its a tight squeeze, but...
found many posts on this topic now. my light is not a problem at all. seems that the main concern is circulation of light and shade (just like in nature). since plants don't receive 100% light during light hours, its best to simulate the same effect.
i've often moved around the plants...
whats a good rule of thumb for lighting?
assuming all general conditions are optimum and i'm using hps, whats the max wattage per plant estimated?
is my 1000W hps complete overkill for 6 ? the 6 will become 12 soon, but for now i'm concerned about the current 6. seems many growers have had...
taken root- yes.
can't really tell from the pic but its about 11in tall. had great growth for 1 week and then just stopped.
strong light im curious about. i'm not aware of any problems with too much light. heat sure, but heat is not a problem here. please provide some info on this if you can.
focused on sour grapes plant (6 total clones)
3 weeks veg.
250ml clean water every day with nutes @ about 350ppm, water has good drainage
temps steady 70-80F, 40% humidity
1000W hps and plenty of ventilation
as you can see, the plant next to the focused-plant it is much larger with its fan...
thanks for all the replies.
since its best to extend the dark hours (rather than light hours) when switching light cycles.... i'm keeping lights on for now as the last of the veg. cycle, then when lights turn off i'll be keeping them off for 18 hours. THEN the true 12/12 cycle begins.
