Fan leaves/ trimming/ how much is to much?

If you aren't in the Arctic Circle, the sun is still high enough in the sky that you don't have to worry about shading of the plant by the fan leaves. Anything you might cut probably isn't worth the risk you are taking by messing with it. Leave her alone! :)

    Any NYC area growers?

I have a small little thing going and they are doing well, healthy, and bushing up nicely. Just playing the waiting game now. Can't remember the last time the NYC area has had such a great summer. We had a horrible winter (snow and cold wise) and we have been rewarded with a Cali-like summer...

Am I ready to harvest?.. (W/pix) feedback plz

When you post on a message board, all you have is how you communicate via typed word. Even in my most 420'ed state, I make sure to make at least a LITTLE bit of sense. My guess is that he is young, and doesn't care. PS. On of my pet peeves is the "could care less" comment. People are just too...

    Open Show & Tell , Outdoors 2014

LOL..I have a three year old. My wife "tolerates it" as she doesn't partake. The key thing is that her aunt got me into growing and gave me the ahem..materials.. to begin. Ever since then, I keep things on the DL as much as possible -- keep things discrete.. and playing things cool. You should...

    Fert/ nute burn.

Be careful people! So sad to see that!!! Like in smoking, you can always add more, but can't add less. I saw this in another thread. I don't know much about growing (other than it's pretty easy), but it seems as though people in their quest to have the largest/biggest/best grow, over...

Hey guys -- Here in mid-atlantic, planted around Mid May -- and we are hitting the ever exciting first week in August. Not the biggest, but I need to fly under the radar. I present you with Marcia, Jan, and Oliver (Cindy didn't make it). Hoping that Oliver is going to have a sex change...

Getting too big and too tall

Trim your bush, bro!! The girls dont like it! Agreed -- Maybe invest $100 at a local Home Depot or something to get some big trees to put right next to it. That sure is a monster!

When to toss in some Fish Fertilizer, etc/. (pic)

So I have three girls (I hope) and two of the three seem to be doing well. They are about two months old and round about this time I start supplementing with Fish Fertilizer or the like, to keep the nutes up. I believe that is just some fish crap which you mix with water for watering cycles...

    Three pics and two questions...

Hey all. I posted this a couple of weeks back and I think I'm in good shape. There are three pics attached -- the first two are of my big girl, Marcia. (everyone needs a name, right?) I think I'm seeing signs of Fem -- would anyone else agree? one pic is blurry-- the other one is far better...

    Northeast in Vermont Rain

unless its going to monsoon on them, I wouldn't worry. As long as they are in big, draining pots, you should be fine. I would worry if the youngins are in those baby pots, those ones you germinate in --- then-- they would get drowned as there is much less soil to dissipate the water. You gotta...

How Often to Water from Seedlings Outdoors?

my thought is that you want good strong plants, which have good root structures and know how to dig deep to get needed water. If you water too much, you have plants which have weak and short roots and they have always had access to water. I dont know how much you are adding, but those are pretty...

How quickly can you tell fem/male, naturally.. (pic)

i have 4 going, pic below, and I ordered a jewelers loupe online to tell as early as possible, what I have. Without clipping off a leaf/faking the plant into 12/12, how soon will I be able to tell? I germinated Mid May--- when would I be able to use the loupe to see who to keep?
