    What is this bug?

Thanks for the rep. I don't have any experience with aphids myself, but here is a guide that lays out several organic methods of getting rid of them, many of which are free or cheap. Good luck! http://www.gopetsamerica.com/garden/pest-control/aphids.aspx

    What is this bug?

If those are aphids you will be able tell because they have spikes in the back called cornicles. I can't see the back of your bug particularly well but you can see them very clearly in darkdestruction's second pic. See those little tube shaped things on their backs towards the end? Aphids use...

    fire? cause of cfls?

I don't see why it would smell--that weirds me out. I have 105 watt cfls and they've never smelled and they are cool to the touch. Some cheap sockets are only rated for a lower wattage (like 60), you sure you're not pulling too much juice through those fixtures?

    Grey Goose as fertalizer

If you're really intent on doing it, buy a shitty 1.99 plant at your florist or grocery store and try it on that, don't risk your beautiful MJ plants first.

    little advice please

Buy a $6 moisture meter, you can get them at home depot, and only water when the meter goes to 1 (driest measurement). Your plants will thank you for it.

Yellowing leaves @ bottom / Drooping leaves @ top

I agree with the posts above--especially with the overwatering thing. this would be why you are seeing yellowing on the bottom. If you keep with the same watering schedule you will lose leaves on the bottom and the damage will progress upwards. A $6 moisture meter will help you a lot. I got...

    need help cooling light

Sounds like you are nearing the borderline as it is. Even if you don't end up needing a new fan now you definitely will when summer comes and your indoor temps in general go up. I'd get a bigger fan. Are you running a 600w now? That may be all the light you really need. A lot of light is...

Brita water filters = cheap carbon filters?

The instructions that came with my carbon filter said it was better to pull the air than push it. It's hard for me to visualize the filter you described. Just remember that the air will flow through the path of least resistance--that, is it will flow around rather than through your carbon...

Brita water filters = cheap carbon filters?

Oh you've got one plant? Hmm...maybe that'll be alright. Are you planning on making four little scrubbers or hooking them all together?

What Classifies a Grow as Organic?

Pyrethrin is also organic, as it is derived from a kind of chrysanthemum plant. You can extract them from the flowers and such. I'm lazy, so I'd just buy 'em. You can find out how to make some pesticides here, though. Not all are organic such as the alcohol sprays, and the nicotine spray...

16 hours light last week of bud????

Doesn't changing your lighting schedule halt growth for 1-2 weeks? Also, wouldn't changing back to veg promote leaf and stem growth rather than bud growth? Regardless of whether or not it's long enough to make your plant hermie, any plant stress will slow or halt growth, as any noob who's...

    need help cooling light

1000 watts in a tent? That's a big fucking tent! How big is that tent, how much electricity does your current light use and what are your temps at now?

Brita water filters = cheap carbon filters?

You need way more charcoal that's in those itty bitty filters to make a decent carbon scrubber. There's a DIY carbon scrubber (in the DIY section) you can make from pencil holders and such that'll cost around $30 and work much better for you.

I really need someones opinion. +rep

omg, I'm sorry about your loss, man. This is why people split larger orders. Have you offered to send the crushed seeds back to them? Maybe they will send you replacements, as businesses in general tend to favor replacements over refunds any day...

Is it dead or has it got a chance?

Unless you're out of space in your grow room or need the pots, just keep 'em until you're sure they're dead. You will be surprised how resilient MJ is. They're probably not growing at the moment because they are sick and are trying to heal themselves first. Those plants look like they have a...

    Dry Leaf Tips...Nutrients?

I'm not too good at deficiency ID yet (so you should take more experienced folks' opinions over mine), but my guess is you have a little bit of nute burn. When you water just use plain water for a little while and it'll go away. Also if it's just the very tips of leaves and they are curling...

    Inline fan ?

Hey again, I did a little bit of reading and you might wanna check out the vortex brand. Expensive, but you get 172 cfm for only 49 db! Can't say much about the size cause there's nothing there for scale. The fan I have now looked small on the website but was much bigger than the picture led...

    Aquarium water=fish emulsion?

If you have a healthy aquarium there will be no measurable amount of ammonia. Also you can adjust the pH after you pull it from your aquarium. Finals week is next week. I am a horrible procrastinator, but this time I can't afford to do it. I smoked the last of my weed on sunday so I...
