For The Love Of It 2009 Grow journal

I totally agree with the guys above me... Im no expert... but those are some of the stretchiest plants I've ever seen. Theyre in bad shape if they dont beef up before flower. The pinching method works good to super crop. That, and also topping them should work well. Maybe leave a couple...

    light and airy buds??

yeah I had about 8 CFL's on one plant. Quite a bit. I do agree that an HPS would be more efficient. So next time I will use HPS. But for those beginning and dont want to invest in a light setup, I wouldnt be against CFL's. My plant was about 3 1/2 ft tall. CFL's just suck cuz you have to...

    light and airy buds??

I said I got dense, potent nugs. 2 ounces off one plant. That doesnt seem too bad to me at all!

    light and airy buds??

So I have chopped and dried my topped plant and I will say Im very pleased! I dont have a scale to get an accurate weight. But I'd guess about 2 ounces. Which is great for me. They are dense, sticky and have a very pungent aroma. Havnt smoked it yet but I will this week sometime. Now on to...

    Sweating nugs?!

Yeah, it's my understanding that, while not necessary, it benefits the bud to be cured for as long as you have it. Just crack open your jar for a few minutes everyday for as long as you have it. Cant hurt...

    drying question?!?!?

It doesnt HAVE to take seven days... I believe it's somewhat preference. Some people like to wait til the stems snap. Some people like to wait until the buds are crispy on the outside, and the stems bend but do not snap. My last plant dried four days and I think it was OVER dried. I'd say...

    light and airy buds??

Hey... So Im harvesting one of my plants tomorrow. And, compared to the last one I harvested, this one is looking pretty dense. Using CFLs. It seems like there are so many variables in growing this stuff. No one can get EVERYTHING right. Im happy with wha† I have produced on my first...

    These look ready to CHOP?!

Just a little photo update... Yeah they're swelling quite a bit and it's only been a few days since I posted this thread. Glad I waited. The close ups are of the topped plant. The bigger one still has about 2 weeks. What do you think? They smell GREAT and are STIIIIIICKY!!

Looking for some tips on curing a batch of buds you bought

Yeah just put it in a glass jar and open it for 20 minutes or so twice/day. If it's real dried out you can do what Attach Lamps said and drop an orange peel or an apple slice in there or something.

ready to harvest? PICS of widow widow.

Yeah if you chop now you will have some fluffy budski's. I'd say 2-3 weeks.

    These look ready to CHOP?!

Yeah... the full sixty days would mean a harvest on Monday. So that's what Im shooting for. Theyre definitely "harvestable" right now... But it seems that I will be glad that I waited.

    light and airy buds??

What about the deal where you turn the lights out for 48 hours before harvest to trick the plant into thinking it's dying therefor producing more resin? Any truth to that? Never tried it but I hear it all the time.

    These look ready to CHOP?!

They have been in 12/12 since July 23rd. So... 54 days. I already made the mistake of chopping one early a week or two ago. I dont want to make the same mistake. These are all kind of crappy shots but tell me what you think! As far as the trichs... There are very few amber but ALL cloudy...

    light and airy buds??

Thank you for all the input. I dont disagree (anymore) but I've seen many buds on this site grown under CFL's and they have turned up some great buds. I dont know... To be honest, when and if I ever do another grow I will likely get a 400W HPS. Simply because it's easier (no light...
