How long will a good strain last?

Yes I have heard that but in my case I am using a new plant each time. It is the same strain that I am taking the cuttings from so that gets me wondering as I am hearing that the strain if looked after will last and last and then I hear that over time it will get weaker. Who is correct? It has...

How long will a good strain last?

No not the same plant, but the next group of cuttings that get planted I take from them when they are ready to change to flowering cycle. It is the same strain but I take 1 or 2 cutting from each plant and then when I harvested that batch the cuttings are ready for planting. So it is the same...

How long will a good strain last?

I ran into this strain about 1992. It is a really good indica. In fact I have never had better. This was only done and reproduced using cuttings. It has been a nice small personal hobby and I am not sure if I am getting used to it or it is loosing some effect. It has been the same generation of...

viens are dark green the rest lighter

Hi, I have just moved my babies from the trays to planting them in their final pots and they're the usual tall and spindly as it gets pretty crowded for them. Anyway that is normal for me. My question is , they have been 1 week now and they are starting to get that nice darker green ( top...

    stem soggy 1" below soil

I would not just leave them with a hope and a prayer as you need something to get rid of the mold. I read about mold in one of the threads that carry a lot of preventative maintenance columns. Keep looking for it as you need to apply something to help them to fight the mold spores.

    stem soggy 1" below soil

that sounds more like mold than root rot. I went to the local hydroponics store and picked up some stuff for root rot. Unfortunately it did not have a label on it ( as I got the small pakages instead of the larger bottle) but it is working.

It is root rot. I found out yesterday. I have started the repair. I haven't really over watered but it was a combo of a hot summer and water. Thanks

root beomes soggy about 2" below soil??

I have written about this before and no answer?? and I am stumped. I cannot find insect damage and what initially happened was a problem that looked like a phosphorus problem with the sides of the leaves turning yellow. The only different I did in years is change soil so I dumped the soil in my...

    stem soggy 1" below soil

No this one was dieing so I just wanted to look. Most stems are a dry stem right on down to the roots. But this was a bit mushy feeling. Soft and you could see the white material under the skin of the stem and it was really soft and mushy like I said.No mold I see. I have looked at the stems...

    stem soggy 1" below soil

Hi, I wrote to this forum earlier about a problem with the sides of leaves turning yellow and then gradually the plant starts to die. I thought it was a phosphorus problem so I changed the soil about the 3rd week into vegetative cycle. It seemed to help going to new soil but any of the plants...

I thought I would update to the problem I had 2 weeks ago, Well it wasn't magnesium and I think it was Potassium. Too much of it really. The only thing I changed was the dirt after years of doing exactly the same thing. So I went and read the packaging on Promix and right on he bag it said to...

side of leaves curling up and dying - help

Thought I would take another couple pics as they seem worse today. The pictures don't really show how bad they are, They are a really light green in color instead of a real dark green. You can see from where they turn up on the edges that the leaves start to get a lot lighter in color. Any...

side of leaves curling up and dying - help

I don't know if this means anything but when I put the PH meter in, it jumps up high to alkaline side quite high then immediately drops to 7 but it does do that jump right away. I haven't had a problem like this so I have never used a PH meter for a long time so I forget how it is supposed to...

side of leaves curling up and dying - help

I used the first soil in this temp lots before. I changed the soil at the end of spring so it wasn't that hot out but when it got to the summer it got worse. I think heat is an issue but for some reason I think it is the soil too as that is the only thing I changed, It has some kind of bacteria...
