Help me figure this out plz? One light wont turn on with the rest only sometimes

Since you switched it all around, there is only the cable-to-hood and the bulb-socket in the hood left. Maybe there is somewhere a slight contact problem. Or corrosion in the socket?

Hps in freezer? Fridge freezer grow

Hi, you could probably make it work, but the effort is pretty big. You'd still need to get air in and out. MEaning you need big holes in the fridge. And when you cut out the freezer floor, you may cut open the cooling liquid pipes. That stuff is probably toxic. And the fridge wouldn't work...

Smart Fan Speed Controller, a good idea or nah?

Hi, you guys here in the forum gave me ideas to build a device. I have now made something. If you have a moment, would you let me know what you think? The device let's you check your grow on a smartphone. Wherever you are in the world. It shows you temperature, humidity, PH, water...

Smart Fan Speed Controller, a good idea or nah?

That would, unfortunately, be quite difficult. It would need a bigger computer inside and we would need a screen. It would make the thing more expensive. So sorry, this one may not be possible. However, even a 1950's milkman shows up sometimes, right? If you have just 15-30 minutes of Internet...

Smart Fan Speed Controller, a good idea or nah?

Hi Forum, I continued work on this WiFi enabled Grow Controller and it is taking form: Here's a quick update The system would look similar to this: There are 3 power outlets. You can connect sensors to this as needed. Like Temperature, Humidity, PH, EC, Light. Up to about 50 sensors...

Smart Fan Speed Controller, a good idea or nah?

Hi, that is terrific. I need help on the electrical front. Currently researching the best way to make the fan speed control via transformer, but controllable by the microcomputer. Seems like an autotransformer is a good way. It would just limit the fan settings to Off, 50% and On. Do you...

Weed easier to grow than most plants ,, rant/vent

Weed literally grows like a weed in all kind of different surroundings. It is an easy to cultivate plant and very forgiving. Some of my first plants were hopelessly overfed, but they still turned out ok.

Any new ideas for the digital ballast messing with nutradip trimeter problem

It seems this power isolator circuit was made to address this problem. Not sure though if this is applicable for your nutradip setup. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Atlas-Scientific-PWR-ISO-Power-Isolation-Circuit-/191045844088?hash=item2c7b383c78:g:x4kAAOxycD9TQtHB

Smart Fan Speed Controller, a good idea or nah?

Ok, trying to make that work as variac. It may not regulate all the way 0-100%, but instead steps like Off - 33% - 66% - 100%.

Smart Fan Speed Controller, a good idea or nah?

Hi, thanks! Yes, PH dosing seems more of a challenge. I checked out the Milwaukee device and noticed they sell the probe and dosing pump separately. Would it be a good idea if they could get connected to 'my' grow controller? So people who already have this gear wouldn't need to buy it all...

Smart Fan Speed Controller, a good idea or nah?

Hello everyone, thanks again for coming up with all these ideas. I worked on the project and came up with something that will work for the different use cases you gave here. It is a web-app that lets you program the device and tell it what to do. So you have total freedom to regulate your...

Smart Fan Speed Controller, a good idea or nah?

Hi, yes it seems true.. those phase cutting dimmers are not good for some (many) motors. Now, it would be quite expensive to put an auto transformer, or even a frequency changer into the device. So I would rather offer that as an external add-on for people who'd like to treat their fans with...

Smart Fan Speed Controller, a good idea or nah?

Yes, you would then probably use just 2 power outlets for the 2 fans. And they could be set to never go below 20% so you'd always keep some air exchange. Ok. That LED would indicate power and also Wifi connection status. Right, so either UP or DOWN solution will be enough. I see what you...

I do my best to hit that number. Or stay below. How important is a display on the box? Considering that all data is visible on a smartphone?

To adjust PH, would that be for example a dispenser that can add both PH up and down solutions into the reservoir? (true with the alerts. I corrected that. :-) )

    LED Driver Amperage question

Ok, I am guessing a bit here but: The item description says "Changes in constant output current depend on supply voltage". Translated from Chinese-English that means: "The current may vary. It's not always 600mA." It seems that the max output current for your AC input voltage is 385 mA...
