Auto-flower seems to be on a longer than advertised life cycle.

I have an Auto-flower Super Hash that germinated May 1st now it's August 20th, that's 16 weeks, the plant is all green, no dead leaves, nice buds. Calyxes swollen pistils rusty colored. Trichomes are 90% clear some ambers 5% and cloudy 5%. Seems like the plant should be starting to die off and...

Growing, still, in Chicago with Temps in the low 40's upper 30's do I have to worry about Fungal at these temps?

Yeah the law is screwy. So far no complaints from the law, I've been out of sight. Read that time will tell on what or who they prosecute. Started my new (3) autos outside, working now on generating a batch of auto seeds from last years auto fem (reversed) pollen.

I've got a store bought bin that is doing well, it has red wigglers and pretty much add only spent coffee grounds and ground eggshells. If I do add veg which is rare, now a days I tend to nuke any veg before it goes in the bin, so it doesn't hatch any bugs. I hear coffee grounds are high in...

    A Guide To Colloidal Silver

My slurry of silver was as far as concentrate level, was a shot in the dark. I let the electrolysis run till the solution looked a little cloudy. Put a LED flash light to the jar and could see the beam. Then I poured it through a 100 micron screen. I produced two quarts of the slurry. Did not...

Growing, still, in Chicago with Temps in the low 40's upper 30's do I have to worry about Fungal at these temps?

Three top fungal's on cannabis; temperature & ranges for optimal growth. Cursory net search: White Powdery Mildew/thrives 60 to 72F. Fuzzy White Mold/grows 60 to 80F Botrytis/favored 50 to 60F I have prevented mold this season: Shaking the branches dry when wet. Turning a fan on them after...

Not a big user of Perlite but have used it to mix with vermicompost. I like the way I can feel the vermi "mud" get macerated by my hands when I rub the Perlite and Vermicompost together!

Growing, still, in Chicago with Temps in the low 40's upper 30's do I have to worry about Fungal at these temps? Yeah I've had a few harvests this season thanks too and I love the "auto/fem" seeds they are awesome! Gorilla Glue, Northern Lights, Strawberry Cheesecake all auto femes I'd rate...

    Trichomes, cloudy=good, amber=shit

Brick Top, OK, I'll give it a shot, I've got a plant with cloudy trichomes "Northern Lights Auto" 6' 3" height, that I'll harvest today, 11 weeks from seed. I get the feeling the seed sellers are pimping the plant heights on the short side, also I grow organic outdoors in soil, not potted.

Hmmm just food for thought. I zap my veggies (less than 1%) in the microwave to keep the flies and such to a minimum. I use 99% coffee grounds and whirly grind all my egg shells the other less than 1%. The worms have been thriving for nearly a decade with this diet. I think I'll start making...

Looking for ideas/pics of Mold Prevention Set ups for an outdoor grow, pics of fans or rain shelters to reduce moisture on plants.

If I'm keeping the direct moisture off the plants and have the air moving will the plants will have a fighting chance against the mold?

Looking for ideas/pics of Mold Prevention Set ups for an outdoor grow, pics of fans or rain shelters to reduce moisture on plants.

My situation is very similar to DBlastin but much smaller scale, next to a small garage visible to the neighbors, though I will be legal, finally. I already have a trellis structure that I could put a "roof" on, I am thinking corrugated clear plastic hoping it'll suffice. This season pretty...

Looking for ideas/pics of Mold Prevention Set ups for an outdoor grow, pics of fans or rain shelters to reduce moisture on plants.

Looking for pics/descriptions of rain shelters, either stationary or permanent and/or suggestions on buying a fan for their plants outdoors? I want to build a shelter to keep the rain off the plants and also was interested in using an outdoor fan to keep them dry.

Stored pollen viable after one year.

I originally posted just cause I thought it might help others to know the results of my "experiment", it's been 10 years and I got another female coming in from the cold to grow indoors, still have pollen in the freezer so we'll see if the pollen is still viable, after 10 years. And oh....we are...

Monsanto poised to take over commercial cannabis growing in all legal states!

Monsanto Poised To Take Over the Weed Industry A couple years ago I wrote my Congressman, it is stating the worry of "Big Business/Corporations" buying into the medical pot industry and hence controlling pot laws and undermining the legalization movement. The mass of the legalization movement...

Compost Teas - Superpower your microherd.

I like the information about changing from bacterial during veg, then to fungal during flower. I have been making bacterial teas but am interested in making fungal teas, now I have more of a reason due to flowering needs. I need to read and do more fungal, I will get out the old mason Jars and...

    FROST: general rules from experience....

I think we are in the same spot, I have a small plant that has been in ground as a volunteer, all summer. Yeah it is very weird cool weather this summer, the plant is keeping small which is good, guerilla wise. It is a F1 or F2 of WW. The P1 WW did survive a couple good frosts that wiped out a...

Posting Experiment for Cool Soil Mix Trial

Oooops, the excel table was posted originally but went away with the newer version of ROI. I haven't had a chance to test it with a MJ grow and have gone through the whole 30 gallons with other garden needs. Seems growing MJ indoors is the true ultimate stress test of any soil mix, so the...
