    How to clean COB chips?

Si c'est juste le dessous ;; du PQ ; essuie tout .. puis repassé avec un peu d'alcool si tu veux que ce soit parfait, pis a sec denouveau .. English : If you just mean the back of it ; a tissue or toilet paper, optionally some alcool between 2 "dry" cleaning/rubbing to make it look brand new...

    citizen CLU series LM80 data

Those are the right questions indeed :) Well @140°c it looks like it. for 3618's : At nominal drive ; the horti has 10% less pff than the best performing series 6 cobs. so at 140°c, after 50 000 hours, standard cob has lost 30%, horti <10% => so horti has a better output before 50K hours is...

    citizen CLU series LM80 data

Yes, I've been wanting more information at low drives too ... But according to my contact at citizen, temperature is the main factor, drive doesn't change much (apart from of course directly influencing temps). I'd like to know also what is up with the horti cobs, they have lower ppf to start...

    citizen CLU series LM80 data

Hey Cobkits, L80 is pretty low, you are usually better off upgrading way before then, 15~20% difference in yield will pay back in 1 grow. L90 @55°C == 48 000 hours which is equivalent to 11 years in 12/12 and over 7 years in 18/6, that'll do it for me :) I have these, if that's what you're...

Effiency race... is it necessary ?

Agreed, good observations. Just saw another guy minutes ago, on another forum, using a heater with his new super expensive led setup .. ... just rolled my eyes to the sky ... I personally : - try to keep daytime temperatures equalor above 24°c / 75°f. - went from 1200~1500 m3/h for a 4x8...

Citizen version 6 available ! RIU lagging ?

Yes, - Difference between version 5 and 6 doesn't justify an upgrade, according to datasheet. (maybe real life applications will tell another story ...). But for futur builds, it's worth knowing. - About Horti : Yes, it seems citizen went for long time lumen maintenance, and their "Active-ppf"...

Citizen version 6 available ! RIU lagging ?

Salut @tomate That's why I said available ;) In the past, we haven't waited for "official realeases" to get our hands on things around here. I can't find a mention of Horticulture cobs anywhere on the internet, yet, they are available since September. 4 Chips (basically 1208 , 1212, 1818 and...

Citizen version 6 available ! RIU lagging ?

If you liked CLU058-1825C4-353M2-K1 you're going to love CLU058-1825C4-353M2M2-F1 ! Not massive gains according to selection tool, but worth taking anyhow.

Citizen version 6 available ! RIU lagging ?

Hi, I'm surprised no-one is talking about this ... are people keeping the good info to themselves nowadays ? Or have we stopped doing our research to be spoon fed by sellers ? On the menu : A small light gain, and a little voltage drop, as was the case with CREE when going CXA => CXB albeit in...

    Crees brightest

Hi Mark, Do you have bigger options than 3 led per pcb for Photo red HE ? I heard growmau5 talk about some copper pcbs, is that possible too ? thanks EDIT : @welight : Aren't the photo reds viewing angle 130° ? your site says 115° which I think applies to white, but not photored

Introducing CobKits.com - specializing in DIY and Citizen COBs

Hi again, Not that I don't trust you, but the datasheet of hlg-185h-48A says its maximum is 187.2W, how could it run 3x75w=225w ?? Did you notice the ùax voltage on the 240 is only 51.2V ? ... and same question, how can a 240h run 3x100W when it is rated at max 240W ?? Wouldn't a 54A version...

Introducing CobKits.com - specializing in DIY and Citizen COBs

Hello cobkits, I'm thinking of getting started with 3 1825 3500K 90cri run at 80 watts each. My understanding is that they must be run in parallel as the holder is not rated for series voltage, correct ? Which driver do I need HLG-240H-48A or 54A ? Looks like the 48V is just short, but how...
