6 µmol/s/W red LED would have to be about 110% efficient. It's up to 6 µmol/s per LED:wink:

Anyway, new deep reds are already in the data sheet.

@welight will these XQ-Es be available through Cutter? Guess one could make a nice engine with those and treat it as a 'deep red COB'.

I ordered these from Mouser last night.
Is this not the new HE?

XPEPHR-L1-0000-00901
Red, 650-670nm

Edit: My bad I see they are the older version. I guess Ill roll with it though

Yeah I am new to it but thinking of getting a cheap hot plate at walmart. Any suggestions?
Hi NaturalFarmer,
I've seen cheap chinese heating plates for reflow soldering incl. a small temp display on ebay for less than 70$.
But In you case I would try to cancel the order and order some "with" pcb's.

Yeah, top bin!
I would like to order 45 tripple stars, 30 with top bin photoreds and 15 with top bin far-reds
or simple 45 pcb's each with two photoreds and one far red, called the Emerson Tripples, Lol!

Are you planning to build some "Emerson tripples" or do I have to make a special order therefor?
Many thanks!

Yessss..! That's so great!
If I would not live 10,000miles away, I would quickly come by, to sign the employment contract, Lol!
For a long time I was looking for an alternative that allowed me to mix both colors on one board. But either not top bins available or outrageously expensive.
I'll place my order at the end of this month :-)
Thanks

Hi Mark,
Do you have bigger options than 3 led per pcb for Photo red HE ?
I heard growmau5 talk about some copper pcbs, is that possible too ?

thanks

EDIT : @welight : Aren't the photo reds viewing angle 130° ? your site says 115° which I think applies to white, but not photored

Any idea where i could get the 2x6 linear 1950 PCBs already attached? Was planning on a heat plate with sand in it to even the heat. Would this work alright?

would it make any sense to mix these with Stephen's Quantum boards?
Why not?
3k is still a good all-in-one option but many users like to supplement their whites with addidional red's and far red's.
You could distribute them around the Quantum Boards or between more boards.

Correct Red is 130, 115 is the generic data provided from Cree site, the datasheet clarifies angles for each color.

Yes we have HE in the 6 linear PCB and the 15 up Zhaga linears

Right. but the quantum boards are fairly expensive already and i wouldn't want to add to it unless it was a proven benefit.
