Might be a good idea with the RO water mate, at least try it for a week and see if it works, at least you'll know then :)
Yea I'll try it see how it works. It's not that expensive so it's no biggie but honestly bro I think she just needs to be flushed with it rally good and then she'll be fine. The medium is to alkaline right now with the high pH tap. I've been really lazy cus my time is so limited but next flush I'll take my time flush her right with some low pH water and hopefully that will do the trick

I just recommend it because I ran it and had amazing results without a single issue my first time, somehow! I think you'll be good with cyco it just sounds like the feed was a little too high to start off. Is she going to recover?

Appreciate it bro. I've used it many times I know how good it is. People talk about how expensive CYCO is but it's not that expensive and gives great results. I think I did hit her with full strength to early and she wasn't ready for XL treat meant either but it's the pH swing that really bothering her. Hopefully once I get that under control she will take off fareal but she's pretty much recovered already. I'm training her now have her tied up. Pix up now

UPDATE DAY 33 Veg

Hey guys she's doing much better since the recent flush and feed on Friday. Still having pH swing and I realized it's my water. Very high pH gonna flush her with some low pH water next time to see how that does and if it doesn't stabilize them I'll just buy cheap RO Water at my grocery store. I cut her back to 3/4 strength nutes on base but kept the adds except Silica which I didn't add this time at full strength to help her recover. Also lowered the light back down and she's loved that I did that perking right up. She's doing ok just need to get her really dialed in then it will be all good. Here she is from this morning

Do you bubble your tap water overnight before mixing/adding to your res? I have found that by doing that, my pH stabilizes after about a day at the most....usually, if I let it go the full 24 hours, it will hold its pH in range for days after the initial adjustment. I just keep a bucket of water with an air stone or two in it all the time. I don't know the science behind it completely, but I have read that by letting the chlorine escape the water, the pH won't have such swings. The airstones just help it along, it will even happen by just sitting the bucket in the corner overnight.

Naw Duudical I'm not. I thought I read about that somewhere but I didn't know if I was right or not but now that you have confirmed it for I mos def will be doing that as my air pump is made for to hoses but I have a connector piece to make it one for the res so I can bubble water and bubble res at same time :). Do I pH the water before I bubble it or don't pH the water at all??? I'm sure the added air helps remove the chlorine and fluoride. Been thinking about getting a pro pure water filter system. It's supposed to be better than RO water as this filter doesn't strip the water of the essential minerals only bad stuff chloramines and fluoride. A lot of people don't know about them but they're great. Best water I've had from a friends house. But thanks for the tip bro much appreciated fareal.

No prob! I wait overnight before adjusting the pH, but I don't know if there is a right way or not :) I should try it the other way. I have noticed that on my water farm setup it takes longer for the pH to settle down. I have theories but don't really "know" ha ha. All in all, I just make sure I check it each day and adjust it only when it is >6.4 or <5.6. And, if possible I try and bring it to 5.8-6.0 so I am not swinging too far at once.

And then I think back to the very first seeds I planted and how I put them in soil, watered them with tap water which I did not pH at all...ever....and they were amazing. Ha ha. But soil is way more forgiving than hydro or coco in my experience.

She's looking a lot better mate, she'll be thriving soon enough :-D
I hadnt even thought about bubbling the water overnight, i just have 2 stones in my res. Might try it this flush and see how she goes, cheers Duuudical :)

Yea I'm def gonna be bubbling my water before I put it in my res also gonna bubble me some water to flush it with as I think the bad stuff in my tap water is sticking in my medium when I flush. This is what's raising the pH in my res after feeding the recirculation runoff rises it. I'm sure there is no right or wrong way to bubble water long as it gets done but I'll look into it more to see of people pH it before or after bubbling it. I remember the same thing Duudical I never pH water my first few soul grows and everything was fine but soil is forgiving and that's why I moved to hydro. Thx bro peace

Thx eastcoast yea she's def looking a lot better and once I get this medium flushed really good she will be back to normal :). Ill up her back to full strength and see how that goes and I'll prolly add Silica back now I know what my problems are but not too much tho. How's your girl doing bro last I checked she's was looking very lovely

Sorry to see you were having dramas James ,hope you sort that out but by that pic she does look better mate. Seeing you going thru these stressing times is another reason I haven't taken the plunge in to hydro,im a soil slacker lol. Looks like the flush helped and hopefully she's back on track soon mate.

Yeah. The tap water still has all the shit in it, but what I understand if if you just use tap water without letting it sit, the gasses still dissipate over time and impact the characteristics of the water which causes the pH fluctuations. I am sure it is way more complicated than that, but that is essentially what I have come to understand about it.

It's all good Brotes that's life ain't it lol :). I'm used to things not going right so it doesn't stress me out as it would some people I just roll with the punches lol. I pretty much have it sorted out just riding the rest of the week out. Once she gets flushed with some good water she will be ok but that was the main reason I stayed away from hydro too but I've done all I can with soil so I wanted to try this and this is the easiest system I've seen out there. Thc lusher helped big time I haut need to flush her again to bring the pH of the perlite down. I see you started your PE to flower. She's looking good can't wait to see what she looks like. Peace bro

Thx Op yea she is very bushy. The fim has her new growing branches like crazy. I've tied her main tops down except on which wasn't gettin that much light but it should catch up now that I've found where my light penetrates best. You will love the transition to hempy bro even tho I've had some hiccups it's been very easy. Honestly I caused all the problems by being a lil lazy and not doing everything exactly like it should be done but I'm working 12 hours plus each day so it's hard but she will be good after I flush her tomorrow. Topping is good what node did you top at?? Are you gonna train them after topping?? If your cloning the tops make sure you have some rooting gel/powder and keep them covered maybe a small Rubbermaid tote to keep humidity and temps up. Just poke a small hole so some air can flow through. It's not a hard process bro just keep light on them and humidity and temps up and you will be fine. Peace bro
