10X10 room, 12 plants, how many lights needed?

Use as many lights as it takes to give you light over the entire canopy in the whole room. Im thinking more like 9 400 watters would be perfect and more even light distribution.

630 cmh de x4

4x ac hoods with 2x mogul sockets. Run 1x3100cmh bulb and 1x4200k cmh bulb in each hood (raptor hood iirc).

2 rows of 4x600s

I run 2 1000 watt on 2 light movers on 2 -7' strips. Roughly 40" wide canopy. My room is only 8'. A 1000 watt will do 4x4 great and 5x5 ok. You need no less than 4 1000's. LED's? If money isn't an issue. lol
I currently have 6 1000's in my 10x10 grow space over two rows of plants, both canopies cover roughly 4'x9' of space. Could I get away with putting a single 1000 watt or DE HPS on a light mover over each row and still expect a good yield and dense buds?

No, I don't think so. 1 1000 watter will do 4x6 or 7' on a light mover. You could get by with 2 600watts on a light mover for a 4X9'. I don't let my lights move more that 2 or 3 '. Personally, I am beginning to switch over to Cobs. They are pretty expensive but I think in the long run, LEDs will be best. I'm running 1040 watts of COBs on a 40"X 8' run.

He's going to need more than that at 50% eff, he needs to run the same as you at 39 watts/sq ft. not sure the actual coverage area for OP for a 100 sq ft room.
Yes he would need about 45 of them. I am spacing mine at roughly 16 to 20" apart with 3 COBs per 36" long heatsink. I am after penetrating power right now, not so worried about efficiency at this point in time.

I have a 10x10 room and im looking to have 12 plants, how many lights will i need, and what is the best watt? thanks in advance....
Best lighting for that space IMO would be 2 600w hps or MH or maybe one of each. My bloom room is slightly narrower at10x8'. I only run a single 600w with 2 small LEDs as side lighting; a 300w panel & 185w UFO to target lower bud sites on ripening plants. Tried to add more wattage but anything more trips breakers. Can easily fit 9 plants if I rotate them everyday but I could fit more if I added another hood or a light mover.
If you can exhaust the heat or add an a/c and don't mind paying for the power a 1000w or two could yield a lot. An LED equivalent to 600w or 1000w will be costly but small cheapo LEDs work great as side lighting.

Older post but i dont care. Where do you people get these ideas for ligting up an area? Most of these post suggestions on lighting plans are way underpowered. And some over powered. 10x10.area? Easy. If you got the height..roll with 4x1000 watt hps lamps. With a 1 foot perimeter walkway (you will need it) and for wall mount fans and what not. 1 to 1.5 lbs per lamp until you get good. Ditch the air cooled glass and ducting/fans. Get a minisplit.and dehuey. Co2 and seal room up. Get 2 to 2.5 lbs per lamp. Done. Numbers...plant size..pot size..feed times..feed strengths..medium...your gonna have to figure it out trial and error and dial that stuff until you get the weight and quality you want. (getting good). See ya.

i would put 4 600's in there but 2 1000's could do the job
1k's are good for a square area of around 5-6 feet. Two 1k's would leave a lot of shadows around the edges of a 10x10 but four would be about perfect. I think the best hid set would be 6 de 630 watt cmh fixtures.

I already posted before I realized how old the post is but, yeah, some of the suggestions are so far off I don't care.

I would buy 20 area -51 rw-150s and cram as many 3 gallonpots that average 1-2 oz per plant dried in there . 10x10 I could for around 90 plants ( walking room) . I would on average get 9 lbs or more a cycle with 3000 watts .
Could u give me a lil advice I have a 8x12 space want to get as much as possible what is a good strain and how many and size should I do

Let me start of by letting u know, I'm totally green... My buddy uses 15 gallon with coco... But that room is a little bigger and has 18 plants and 6 lights... And I'm not sure on the light watt, I'm guessing 600. I'd like to use smaller pots and less lights? Any input would be great...
R u joking digure out your shit then ask for someone's help how are we supposed to guess wuts going on in your shit garden
