the reason the "summer" crop is the one they prepare for is because in the summer months you get boat loads of UV spectra and in the winter you get a fraction of the amount of UV that you would have gotten in the summer so your end quality suffers. stimulating the UVR8 receptors with UV spectra greatly increases the quality and potency of cannabis. as you increase the amount of uv spectra that your plants receive you also increase the amount of cannabinoids and terpenes that the plant produces.

Yeah that sounds feasible I've just assumed it was daylight hours related.

Out of curiosity i had a quick look to see how much uv changed through the year in equatorial countries but I couldn't see a straightforward graph.

uv is height related and not so much season related , think about it, in the equator they get 12/12 so i think, the higher you go (mountains) the less uv is lost in the atmosphere

Why would you assume he came to this consensus with one plant? Stardogs been growing for a while mate im sure its from overall experience that he has built up his opinions on it

Metals are not cooler than the ambient temps.

They feel cooler to touch because they conduct heat away from your hand better.

Honestly I was floored to hear that from his lecture...... I will speak positively because I have seen and tested the moons light
effect on surface temperature. I can explain further but this thread is popping off in the original direction

I just want to let people know there is no fact or science to say the moon will disrupt your garden.

If you're at 13.5 hours and it's still flowering, that's cool. I'd imagine that's close to the limit for some plants, some might not flower at all on 13.5 hours of light, and some might end up with loose/leafy buds with lots of reflowering...

i have vast knowleadge that tells me moon is reflecting sun light and the cooling effect things experience by night is because radiative cooling or heat transfer, just like the metal ;-)
oh and carefull , im not saying things get cold because they radiate heat to space via ir, im saying thats whats helping them like 10-20 percent, the rest is heat transfer with cold ambient air
oh and btw that ambient air is cold because of the earth radiating heat to space so.. do you even get my point? wth is dude saying that moon is not reflecting sun light and if you go and hide from moon light you are hotter? bullshit, you are hotter because you aint radiating heat to space thats it

I love how people over complicate things. Quite simply put 13/11 will lower your yield a bit- but it will increase your quality. I would not flip to flower using 13/11 . As is seems to slow growth a bit. So I like to do 12/12 for initial flower and then switch to 13/11 for fruiting. Feel Free to experiment but this information comes from renowned growers :)
