1st attempt at scrog

i do it whenever i feel like it but autos may be a little bit more fussy i think you should get it done before the end of the stretch but i have never grown autos so not sure on that.
One issue is they are in flower after 34 days. I ordered a second 2x2 net when that gets here I will look at lower leaves they are not seeing much light anyway. I can't tell if they are growing rapidly or stretching they are at 17 inches now.

yeah autos have a mind of their own and i dont like that haha if they are healthy and vigorous i dont think a sensible trim would hurt them.

for my second attempt at scrog i am gonna go with double screens too but not this tent specific nets. i ordered some proper trellis net already i think it’ll work better.

They are healthy. When I got a plant last spring I was worried about every leaf, then it turned into a 8 foot tall by 6 foot wide beast by flowering time.
This auto grow was really just a test to get a handle on parameters of the tent. My plan is to have the plants ready for outside come April.
Start them in Feb.

i grew one auto ww when i first started growing cannabis like 6-7 years ago thinking maybe it’ll be easier for a beginner. no training or defol just grew it out and it was a good grow and nice yield but now that i think of it it wasnt easier than any photo i grew :)

not looking too shaby here. i ran into some problems with destroyer as it as very sickly and pale yellow. some flushing, some h2o2, an aact, topdressing with ewc and opening a aquarium hose sized hole at the bottom and actively pushing air with an aquarium pump into the bottom aeration level which i had layered with hydroton when i was setting these pots up seems to be working lol. for now it looks better.

now all i am concerned about is my vertical space bc destroyer almost just started stretching and the lights are at the top :) well maybe a thread about topping in flower brewing up here haha

How long have they been in grow?

these are clones and seedlings i’ve been keeping in my clone tent for god knows how long maybe 3-4 months? they were in small nursery pots but honestly i dont remember how long they have been in these pots. all i recorded was the flip date which is 17.11 and i think it was 3 weeks veg before the flip.
Still trying to figure out with month is the 17th?
Starting to guess your across the pond.

I have raised my light as far as it will go. Plant is almost at 20 inches at 36 days. My thoughts are at 40 days to decrease light to 18 hours and change spectrum to flowering mode. For feeding tonight starting early stage flowering food.

Sometimes people will put the day date before the month. So I would assume it would be Nov 17?

Autos can stand 24/0 light schedule you may have a decrease in yield if you change light cycle.

Yes I did figure out the real date.

I actually want a little less growth at this rate it will hit light, am waiting for second net to twist it shorter.

yeah i am across the pond. 17.11.2023 or 11.17.2023 i’ve also seen 2023.11.17 haha. but when i flipped i started with 14hrs then after 2 weeks i went down to 12hrs light and i am thinking of finishing with 10hrs at the last 2 weeks for dinachems as to test this one cannabis research i saw which claims increased yields and cannabinoid content with this schedule without extra energy consumption.

I worked with a lot of guys from across the pond. There really isn't a training ground for formula cars over here, and most of the cars are made in the UK anyway.

I am working on dropping the temp when lights are off. Reducing the light time makes sense as it would be a normal outside behavior. At the rate my plant is going can't count on weeks it is closer to days. Was looking at some fan leaves to trim. I just started prepping early stage flower feeding

Well I got two tracking numbers one from Infinity and Vivosun on Dec 28.
Kept trying to figure out when they are coming, finally the tracking works. They made the label last Thursday and UPS has not picked it up.
I hate when vendors play games, they meet the ship in five days by creating a label. And it just sits.
Very hot for the net to retain my plant as it is just an inch from light, think it is starting to slow down with Veg growth flowers are more prominent.
Started to trim two leafs a plant once a day.

gave the girls a little cleaning under the net. there was some dead and dried out leaves plus a little bit of fluff. i also have been noticing some bronze coloring on the NL. gave some kelp extract but tbh i really have no idea what it is and seeing its already progressing into ripening phase of growth not gonna chase major corrections this time. but if you have an idea what this is i can be more vigilant next run with its clone bc this one smells so much like grape soda i’m thinking of keeping it if the potency and high is there as well.

anyway i keep noticing more brown pistils everytime i open the tent so we are getting there with the NL and Dinachem. Destroyer has 2 months+ left probably :)

Looks really great.

I am jealous about the space you have in tent, my 2x2 looks like Times square on New Years eve.
I have one bud hitting the light, where the hell is my other net.

haha i have 2 2x2s too yeah it gets cramped in there for sure thinking of upgrading that setup to a single 2x4 or i saw some oddly dimensioned tents which is like 150x77cm which sounds pretty nice tbh. we’ll see.

looked at your pics, first what you do is you start a journal and post your plants there so you can keep track of your progress.

second look up supercropping you are not so far into flowering and you can do it at any phase of growth basically without causing any problems to the plant.
