2 Tents 1 Fan?

Hello all you grow room gurus. I currently have one 4x4x7 tent but would like to get another 5x5x7.
My question is, can I run both tents together with only 1 x 8" 710 CFM (Stealth Hyper Fan) with a filter in each tent? I'd like to skip the extra expense since my fan is more then adequate to pull air from both spaces. Can I put in a Y splitter?

yes it will work I have mine inside a mdf wood box pulling a vacuum and I can attach hoses to holes in the box.

My setup is smaller. I have a 2x4x6 flower cab and added a 2x2 veg area. The flower cab has a 4 inch fan and 8 inch filter that is over kill. I just knocked a hole in between the two and joined them and added intake hole to the veg.

It works just fine.


L x W x H ÷ 3 = cfm requirement. Do the math on the two tents to get cfm requirement. Take a little off the fans capability because of two filters.

I have 2 5x5 tents with air cooled hoods drawing from inside each tent, going to a Y outside the tents then to my fan.. and mine is a 6 inch fan and works fine.. I equaled the duct lenghths to try to keep the suction the same on both! so you should be good
