Evening all.

I did a grow in the wardrobe of our kind of spare room last year, successfully grew 2 juicy lowryder #2's, got about 2 and half ounces from the pair and it was a great smoke (when i fnd my old pics I'll load them up).

Anyway, I've got a 17 week window to use the wardrobe in that room again, but ideally I wanna do it asap, in as little as 60 days as claimed (my lowryders took about 80-90 last year) and I want to get another grow going. I've got one Fem Lowryder #2 seed left that I purchased last year (will it still be alright?) and I was wondering what other good autoflowering types that there are that you would recommend out there?

What is the quickest, shortest, least smelling yet strngest and highest yielding indica / sativa hybrids out there?

I've seen diesel ryder advertised...

Also, what organic (tomato or otherwise) ferts and how can I feed them to get the most out of them? Last year I didnt use anything until near the end when i used a bit of tomato feed before the final flushing, I gotta say they surpassed my expectations, compact, yet packed full of bud.

I will of course, begin a grow diary once I begin on here for you all to help guide me do it all better second time round:-P

Has anyone tried the lowryder mint or Lowberry? Do you basically get the same kind of yield as the LR#2's?

The LR2's that I grew last year did give off quite a strong whiff, had them growing in a wardrobe with no fan, but they did really well despite this. I did open it up alot and give them an airing tho.

Anyway, does anyone know what kind of smell the lowryder mint or lowberry give off? Do they really smell of mint and blueberry's? Also, does anyone know what they smoke like? The LR2's that I did last year were probably the best smoke I've had, so just wondering.

Any info on these would be really appreciated.

Am planning to get this grow started on valentines weekend. Gonna do my last LR2 seed, and hopefully a couple of lowryder mints and lowberry's too. Will keep it all posted up on here.

Hi Sandman,

Ok, All I did last time was germ them in a tupperware box in some wet tissue paper, then put them in little pots on the windowsill for about a week while I was waiting for my light, then a week later I put them in a wardrobe that I lined all the inside with with this silver paper and I hung a 125 watt enviolite up on the railing, fitted inside a reflector. kept the wardrobe shut but opened often for a breather and kept the bedroom window open to keep the room cooler and let out some smell of the room. used the lights for 16 hours and kept them dark for 8. sometime I bought them out on the bathroom windowsill (through the frosted glass) when it was blazing sun out to give them a little change. Turned out really nice

Have managed to get 6 little red lowryder seeds and 6 lowryder mints. Gonna germ them on the 13th, hopefully ready to plant on the 15th as planned. (By my estimation of 80 days each, they should be fully grown and ready to cure by the end of April/Beginning of may) - For the last couple of weeks of there life I will be exposing them to more natural light and I plan to grow this all organically and with my 250W envirolite.

Alongside my 1 lowryder #2 that i'm also going to grow with these, I am really excited to see the difference between these autoflowers, in terms of growth (time and volume) density, bud, smell etc. so hopefully I'll be able to recommend the best of the 3.

Ideally what I'm trying to find is the one which is fastest, has the least smell but the best high..........looking forward to starting the journey up in here.

Ok, have placed my order for 6 Lowryder Mint & 6 Little Red Ryder Hood Seeds, Hopefully they come by saturday so I can get them started sunday but in the meantime I will be germing my final LR#2 tomorrow, ready to go into the setup on sunday.

Just to clarify for my set up I am lining all the inside of a wardrobe with silver paper and hanging a 250w envirolite in a reflector from the railing and thats it. will use a little organic fertilizer in the soil and that will be all. worked well before. Goanna start them in really small pots, then to normal small ones, then medium ones and finish these off in some 8 inch pots. Will keep the bedroom window open and open the wardrobe a couple of time while the lights on to cool it down a bit and get them out now and again for air. Gonna keep them on a 18/6 then down to 16/8 light cycle.

Am looking forward to getting going on here, will begin with the first pic tomorrow.

Oh and here's how I'm plannign on getting some of my own seeds. Will take a male Lowryder Mint and a male Little Red Ryder Hood, and pollinate each on a separate branch of the LR#2 to get LR#2 x Lowryder Mint & LR#2 x Little Red Ryder Hood Seeds, then make my own Lowryder Mint and Little Red Ryder Hood Seeds by crossing like for like, and then getting more crosses by mixing a male little red ryder hood and a female lowrder mint to get little red ryder hood x lowryder mint seeds and then vice versa to get Lowryder Mint x Little Red Ryder Hood seeds. So 4 New breeds and a stash of the hoods and mints.

Now, would all the offspring be Autoflower? I imagine that they all would but I'm not to clued up about these plant genetics.

Anyway, it all begins tomorrow guys, will keep you posted. :bigjoint:

Okay, seeds not yet arrived so hopefully they will come the beginning of next week and I can get this thing started! However, I did today begin my 1 remaining feminized LR#2, did this by steralizing the small tupperware container in boiling water, then letting some boiled water cool in it, soak some tissue in it, drain and put the seed between the 2 layers of paper, then closed the tupperware box, put cling film around it and then into a dark envelope and atop the boiler.

Didn't see the need to take pics at this point, but will begin when this one begins to germ and when i begin the little red ryder hoods and lowryder mints at the beginning of next week. Am setting up the grow cupboard so it's all ready tomorrow, will post pic of my set up (see previous posts for description).

I was also thinking of trying out some seeds that a mate gave me. Have no idea what they are (can people on here tell from looking at pics? If so I will post a pic to identify). Thought I could start them off in the cupboard as littllings then put them out on my balcony to get the spring/summer goodness (did it with a durban last year with some success and kept it hidden from view on the balcony). obviously these wont be autoflower but could possibly cross breed for seeds. The seeds are pretty big..

Well looking forward to getting the grow ball rolling again, was alot of fun last year (apart from the paranoia that kicked in when the LR#2's proper starting stinking lol)

All comment, hints, tips and advice welcome.

Happy Love day all!:bigjoint:

Where did you find the lowryder mint and red ryder seeds from, I have not heard of those strains and they sound pretty interesting

In answer to your question, I stumbled across these on www.dutchbreed.com under autoseeds, tells you all about them on there. did some googling and forum searching, rare but good info, sound like tasty lil breeds.

I checked on my LR#2 when I got in form work today and it had popped the shell and grown about and 3/4 inch, could see the leaves forming! - sorry guys I forgot to take a pic of it, was having a smoke and being chatted to on the phone at at the same time. Anyway I quickly popped that in a 3 inch pot filled with J. Arthur Bowers's multi purpose compost. buried it about 2 1/2 inches deep.

Set up my grow cupboard tonight. Couldn't quite get the camera lighting right but you get the idea, in future will take pics of the growing plants in the bathroom to get better pics and no light reflecting issues.

My seeds did not arrive today but I expect they would be posted early this week as my address was requested by the vendor and payment acknowledged on saturday, so for now its just the LR#2, but hopefully the other babies will be joining soon.

Can't wait to be smoking my own organic, better than sh*t you can buy and FREE bush in 80 odd days. In these crunchy times you gotta grow your own - I think thats way less criminal anyway! evening all :bigjoint:

jumping in here. I have 3 auto dwarf mixes going outside. they are 4 weeks yesterday. now 13" high and flowering. put 2 more seeds in a shotglass of water with 2 drops of peroxide in side. in 24 hours it popped and had a 1/2" tail. potted it about 40 mins. ago. their little helmets are off also. so in four weeks when i harvest the 3 the other 2 will be 4 weeks old. and i have some pollen from a mango that i might try to get some seeds off the dwarfs with. trying to get a year round grow. but then i am in hawaii and the days are now 11 hours of sun. long season starts in the middle of march over here. good luck you guys.

Hi Guys,

It's been a week since I planted the Lowryder #2. I began germing my 7 Lowryder Mint & 7 Little Red Ryder Hood seeds using the paper towel method when they arrived on Thursday, But the Lowrdyer Mints only began to crack the shells on Saturday (I planted the 1st 3) and on sunday (planted the last 4). However, the Little Red Ryder Hood seeds are proving more difficult. They had failed to even show signs of germing, so I tried cracking a couple with my teeth and tried rolling a couple between my fingers to crack the shells (hard and small). I cracked a hole in 2 of them and I can see the white inside but I accidenally crushed one, so am left with six, and 2 of them I have done nothing too. They are still in the germing box on top of the boiler as we speak.

Whats the normal or longest seeds can take to germ? Will they germ eventually?

Below are some photo's. The plant you see that is growing is the one week old Lowrdyer #2. The rest are the Lowryder Mints, planted Yesterday and Today. I hope I haven't ruined the Little Red Ryder Hood seeds and that they germ, I was really looking forward to that one.

Am going to transfer these to 6/7 inch pots at 3/4 weeks, was also thinking of getting another enviolite but on a hanging lead between the plants to add light, and I am going to line the inside of that wardrobe more thoroughly I think with some new Mylar paper when I get paid, want this one to go well. Any ideas of a low maintenence fan I that I can pop in the wardrobe? I never used one last year but it may help.

Also, I found a seed on my bedroom floor today. Aint got a clue what it is but planted it. Am starting it off with the other and will put out on the balcony hidden behind the flowers and tomatoes for my bonus grow in the spring/summer.
