2nd time growing. General changes and ideas!

Update im at the end of week 6 of veg now, plants looking well, 16 inches high now with a little trim on the bottom to lollypop it abit nothing too major. One of the plants randomly split into two tops, a surprise as i havnt fimed them, dont know what caused that,

As far as changes iv got a 1200 led on order so il put that in when it turns up, and have both in at the end of flower, to the chap saying about true watt, its no way 600 probably 100/150 would be my guess, but i do think its done better than the cfl by 10/15 percent, not bad as its one third the power. It will be 300ish watts at the wall with both, dont know if its really worth it or not but if i get more bud im game.

The only real question iv got is it said around 8/9weeks for flower, is that from when the lights are switched to 12/12 or in a week or twos time when the bud starts appearing?

LEDs are great!

The lights are only cheap from china 150 britsh quids for both. Look on ebay, plane white cover two fans no veg or bloom switch, would buy american but the mars hydro are the same light just with a sticker and three times the money. Anyone who knows the pros and cons and has a look let me know what you thought.

I didn't phrase my question very well. I meant to ask how often to feed with soil?

I fed the young plants Mega Grow at 2 grams/gallon three days ago. No nute burn so I'm a happy camper.

perhaps i wasn't very clear. there's not a set schedule, you water when the plants need it. i use the weight of my pots to tell me when they need watering. it averages every three days, but that can change. i feed twice in a row, then I'll skip a feeding and give them just ph'ed water the third time, to wash out any accumulating salts in the pot, then back to feeding twice, water once....

Iv been feeding nutes in water since week one of veg and one plant straight from seed, it made it fine but the mix was 2.5ml of general hydroponics grow to 3l of water, the micro is 5 or 6 parts nitrogen so that was used at week 5 of flower, i fed at half rate with that to start and had a very small burning on the leaf tips. Watering every 2 days just going by eye with the nutes so not to over do it, it only had one water with no nutes and that was after i had the burn with the micro. Cheecking thw weight of the pot is a good way to tell aswell, i cut a few holes in the side of the pot to shove a finger into to check aswell.

poking your fingers into the pot disturbs the roots, not the best way to tell really.
i usually wait till about the beginning of the third week to start feeding, then i'll start at 150 ppm, and go up about 50 ppm per feeding till i get to 300, and stick there for the rest of veg.

True but im not too concerned its a hardy plant, keep in mind i use vinegar as a ph down and feed from seedlings i like to live dangerously lol

Also forget ppm meters a teaspoon does just aswell

i'm really not trying to be a dick, but you're using about as many bad habits as you can. it is a weed, it is hearty, but it's also a living thing, and the better you treat it, the better it'll treat you.

No no no never thought that for a second pal. Just advice your giving is all. Yeah that is true but im abit bait from time to time and dont belive they are overly bothered by my techniques lol
