Tomatoes setting is good but I would turn off the water pump when the roots reach the water. Make sure you have an air stone in the res with a air pump to oxygenate the water. get a separate timer for your AG hood light (for 12/12 when the time comes)

plus I think giving the plants some night time would be good like 20/4 instead of 24hrs of light. The roots grow during the night time(lights off)

I chopped my girls down on sunday which makes today day 3 of them hanging.

All of the buds (colas included) are crispy as hell. but the stems are still bendy. I have read different views on this stage. some say this is when you trim off the buds and jar them some say wait till the stems snap when bent.

Any opinions from my advisors and faithful followers??

here are pics for ya:weed:

took pics in the dark so my aim was off

I know my manicuring job was horrible but w/e Im not trying to sell it  just wanna throw it in my vape. Next grow I'll get some bonsai scissors and do it right.

well if I put it on the tomatoes setting the pump will turn off (but will come back on) for a while I could just unplug the AG it self I have the light pluged into a timer do I even need the water pump to be active at this point at all? The roots are in the the water now.....

They are starting to be slightly crispy on the outside of the buds now. The stems are still bendy though. Ive read that they should take on average 6-7 days to hang dry so I should be jarring by friday i guess.
well never grown with the AG this is my first but I grew outside alot and what I would do is spray the bud with water not to much just enough give them some moister that will stop them from dry out too much to fast the outside of the buds are always going to dry fater then the inside of the bud!

You do not need the water pump once the roots are in the water. You do however need a air stone in the water. The reason you dont need (and might not want) the water pump is that the plants might react as though they are being over watered since the AG pumps the water at the base of the stalk. It helps the roots find their way to the water at first but after that It may cause more problems than be helpful. I stopped my water pump around week 2 of veg when a lil bit of mold showed up on the very top of the grow sponge around the stalk.

yea so get a figure 8 plug and plug the AG hood into a timer and leave the water pump off.

I have to say that lots of ppl have left their water pump on all the way through their grow with no problem. I just dont like to chance it especially with this being my 1st time.

Ok good point. :leaf:

Cool man then thats what I will do I was kinda worried about rooot rot but I will just disable the pump for now and see what happen I have a 6 inch airstone just one will that be anough or should I buy one more my pump only has port but I can buy one with or buy spliter type hook up.

yea one should be fine cause most pumps are for multiple gallon tanks and the AG is barely 1 gallon..... plenty of O2

to each his own, last time i only hung mine for 3-4 days and there were crispy as hell, they get alot of moisture once you start curing, mine were still a lil bendy as well, im going to try hanging for longer next time

well fuckin a bro. ijust went through all 40 pages and i gotta say you did a bitchin job on this grow mate. i would look into a grow tent from ebay & a 400 or 600 watt light next grow if i were you, you could grow 6-10 plants & pull alot more dense nugs off your ladies.

:bigjoint: Thanks man as you read it was a journey  but I am very VERY happy with how it has turned out for my 1st grow. It was a good learning experience. I prolly wouldnt grow that much for myself unless I was gonna sell some and Im too paranoid to do that so 4 plants at a time max for me. shit these 2 yielded pretty good for my personal use and like you said I could have done much better:fire:

so I am excited and trying to get a "next grow" plan together

Im glad you enjoyed going through my journal stay tuned for dry weight tonight

we both should just send our whole harvest to Sicc :clap::clap::clap: cause i wouldnt have got out of week 2 with out his help anyway

I cant wait for them to legalize this at least for medical use where I am...I would try to get a growing license then that 6-10 plants would make sense:weed:

ps- just picked up this new toy :hump:
