4x600W Apartment Grow Tweeking Setup

So I recently had to move into the city which puts a new twist on growing for me. Before I never had to worry much about sound and smell as I lived in the sticks. Now noise and smell are a huge concern.

The Space:

I will be forced to grow in an apartment and at the very best a duplex. Only good thing is whatever I rent will be dedicated for the grow nobody will be living there. Soon as I find a place that has the room I want + good electrical I'll pick it up and get started.
Due to the limited room size generally found in Apts. here I will need to go with 2 flower rooms each 8x8x8 (512 sqft). Veg and Clone room 6x6 roughly. I had thought about making a seperate room for trimming that had odour control but doubt I will have space. Trimming will have to be done in the flower room.

The Gear:

Lights- Already have 2 600W Digi Lumateks so will pickup 2 more. Will use a couple CFLS for the mothers and a rack of T5 HO for the veg.

Hoods- My old hoods are garbage (Never buy ELD Hoods!) I need some nice aircooled hoods that are as close to airtight as possible. Advice on hoods are welcome :)

Fans-

Flowering Rooms- 1 8" CanFan HO in each (737 CFM). Passive intake. 1 6" Canfan (440 CFM) per set of lights will keep them cool.

Veg and Clone room- 1 6" Canfan for air exchange with passive intake.

Misc- 1 Oscillating fan in each of the 3 rooms for air movement and C02 distribution.

C02

I will run C02 in both flower rooms off bottles. Advice on which controllers and distributor work well together would be great :leaf:

Medium and Nutes

Will be a organic Soil grow. Still deciding on which program I am going to use.

The Strains

I will be growing 4 strains and will keep a mother for each.

BC God Bud (BC Bud Depot)
The Purps (BC Bud Depot)
White Widow (BC Bud Depot)
Sour Diesel (Reefer Man)

Noise Control

All ducting will be insulated. Fans will be hung by bungees. Each run of ducting will have a muffler on the end. Speed controllers will also be used. Hopefully this is enough to keep things quiet enough that the neighbours don't clue in.

Odour Control

The 8" Can Fans will have a Can-Filter 100 (840 CFM) on the Intake. The 6" fan in the Veg/Clone room will have a Can-Filter 75 (600 CFM) on the intake. Also going to rig up a ONA bucket with a fan for when I need to open the rooms and some smell escapes.

The goal of this grow is Quality. I want a good yield of course but quality is the main goal. Advice, questions, comments please fire away. I will make a journal once I have rented the place and am starting to setup.

Good luck man hope you have a med card. Or you are just an idiot waiting to gEt busted. That god bud is fucking stanky dude. I'm not playin you will smell it in the front room even with dual carbon filters. They smell like full flowered plants in veg man. Just that dank shit diesel smell. Be careful if you aren't legal. Just my two cents

I knew it stank but for it to outstink a can filter is damn smelly lol. We'll see how it goes. I will be visiting the grow everyday and if I notice to much odor I'll add more control or if they are that bad guess they'll be chopped. Really love that bud though so gotta try.

im a little confused here, your going to have TWO flowering rooms both 8x8?? and your going to light BOTH of these 8x8 rooms with ONLY 4 600wats total??? thats only 2 600w's per 8x8 room?? is this correct?? I hope not becaue theres no way 2 600w lights are going to cover an 8x8 area thats just not happening sorry....
600w light covers a 3.5x3.5 area well and 4x4 area max , 4x4 is 16sq feet so two lights would only cover 32sq feet of area.....you have 8x8 area which is 64sq feet of area and if you have two rooms that is 128 sq feet of area. so basicaly you have enough light for 64 sq feet of area but you have 128 sq feet you plan to grow in...... You would need 4 more 600w light to maximise your yield in that much area......with only 4 600w lights you are better off just doing one 8x8 tent for your flower and put all 4 lights in the 8x8 that would be 1 light per 4x4 area which is still a little less than ideal but a DAMN sure better then what you have planned.....hope all that makes sense

Sorry I wrote that wrong. Each flower space will be 4x8. Its the way I normally grow with 2x600W for a 4x8 space. While 1000W is preferable the 600s work well. I would go 1000s if I found a place where I could run my own wiring. Thanks for catchin my typo :)

Here in california they are so vigilant to find the house/apartment grows. Here it is illegal to grow for more than one script AND even YOU have to live at the address to make it legal. If not legal you are setting yourself up to be cauht.

Think of this, Feds control everything, if your advertising here a grow like that and its an illegal grow it only takes a few Federal warrants and they will be at your door. Unless you use a Library computer or asomething not connected to you. I think you need to evaluate your freedom and weed. Im sorry but even if prescribed you wont be able to smoke it in Federal Prison.

BAD IDEA grow smaller under the radar. In your own residence.

But if your not legal then I guess it dont matter.

what are you talking about?? out of ALL the STATES ca is probably the BEST state to go in?? are you confused or somthing?? I live in ca and grow in an apartment knows messing with me and i post all the time on here........

what state would you say is better to grow in verse ca?? please im insterested to hear your logic on this subject....

Think thats a little paranoid but can't hurt to be paranoid I suppose :P As for posting here and warrants I'm a little smarter than that. I never connect to any sites until I am behind a anonymous proxxy and usually more than one. Same goes for the e-mail I registered here with. I doubt they are going to go try and serve warrants in Asia and Russia where most of the proxxy servers are located.

Nobody has any advice on hoods and C02 gear?

Its simple, I worked in the Federal Government on the Law Enforcement level before I left for health reasons. I had the luxury of talking and working closely with the men that will come knocking. Im not saying im calling my buddies after you but your Hiding under denial. You need to keep it small. Your crazy for being so arogant. I am just pointing out a LEARNED educated fact. California is one of the most hardest to run stealth grow. But! if you have that script they wont touch you. The fact is, people pay attention to things like that, nosy neighbors are who tips the agents off.

Dont think noone will know, its like Domestic Violence, noone will turn you in for screaming and fighting until it directly effects them. ODOR will effect a 60 year old lady that smells your grow. SHE WILL.

Read my quote ok. Im legal and my Feddie co-workers all know I am. Get legal and you can be a little more arrogan.

Just the fact that you you think you could get away with god bud in an apartment grow with no one living there. Dude come on... Wake up and smell the coffee. You And I both know the weird coming and going your neighbors will be like " what the fuck is this guy doin" as you rush into your apartment and close the door all quietly. I know because my neighbors across the hall I'm pretty sure are aliens. When we first moved in we noticed their door would aleays slam. So eventually we'd hear em coming up the steps and watch em enter their dwelling. We Saw the cone head and everything bro. Alls I'm saying is people are watching you if it's nit your neighbor then it's god. If its not god. Then it's the cops or possibly sewer people looking to steal your clothes....You know what I'm saying. JUST DON'T BE A RETARD. carry a knife to stab those fucks(sewer people) if they try anything funny. Best plan of action though. Infiltrate destroy rebuild. Enter their civilization by becoming a follower and them once they trust tear it down from the inside yo like some russian sleeper cell. LOL Can I have some of what you been smoking! Plan has changed a little anyways. Going to rent a house out of the city a ways. Its on its own little chunk of land with no neighbours within a 1/4 mile. A bit more expensive and a longer drive but safer.
