Hey there ladies and gents

Documentation has never been a strong suit of mine , nor am i a strong academic type and i have a learning dissability so please, If i have missed any info about this grow that you would like me to clarify for you all just post in here and ill do my upmost to shed some light.

Setup
1x1x2m powerhouse brand grow tent

Lighting: 1x 600w gavita enhanced hps running through a licius maximus 600w digital dimmer ballast
1x adjustawings defender large reflector hood

Exhaust: can-fan rk280s / 830m3/h with a smaller carbon filter to a reducer to the 12' exhaust piping

Intake: kmart desk fan directly into the intake hole ( currently saving for an additional inline fan for this )

Container and media: 54 litre bucket in bucket , 100% canna coco , top fed dtw.

Nutrient line up : house and garden coco's a + b , cyco ryzofuel , calmag by advanced floraculture , and ph+ and ph- by hy-gen.
And that is all for the moment ( i used h&g top booster and cyco's suga rush last run with amazing results.
Even forced some wonderfull colours into my girls and really increased resin production but for the moment im only 10 days into veg and im yet to decide weather ill try new products this bloom or not)

Strain : cog#4 , i got this cut from a good friend at my local dro shop . Hes a bit of a spun out dude but his gear is always on point and does all the breeding himself ( grew my first plant from a seed this guy gave me in a rdwc and still to this day iv never grown anything as heavy or stinky in my hobyist career. ) anyways cog#4 is critical kush x og kush # 4 , not saying that its the actual # 4 og , he just has a few og pheno's. Looked really fucking good when i got it , possibly a little nitrogen toxic , but i just knew it would be a goer!

Here are some pictures of my setup and the little lady.

Its a little unorganised as i live in a small unit with only 2 bedrooms and my space has to also accomidate the rest of our storage , hence the 1x1m tent

Just coming into true autumn here so temps just keep getting better and better erryday ( we just had the WORST summer over here )

Anyways , in my excitement i never did take a pic of the clone when o first got it , but it wasnt in the greatest shape. I had purple vertical stripes going through my stems (ive read that clones often get this striping ) and very dark fan leaves, almost toxic looking with a little bit of clawing. And to top all that off , a little intravienal chlorosis in the fans and very pale new growth with purple leaf stem to accompany.
Fuck my life right?!

image.jpeg image.jpeg

After transplanting i gave her a few days to find her feet in the giant new pot i placed her in and just watered a couple of litres around the edge of the pot at 1.5 ml/l a+b , ryzofuel , and calmag ) i never pre charged the coco , just went right ahead and placed the cut in the pot and went ahead ) this indeed made things worse , and with having such a small rootmass i didnt want to flush risking shocking it with the overwatering so i waited a few more days and wirh no change i decided it was time to flush the coco (lol probs should have done in the first place , but iv heard contradicting openions on weather to wet and fluff coco or to plant and water in ) i personally find it less traumatic on myself and the plant when i water in ) , id love to hear what others do! , im very new to coco. image.jpeg <--- day before flush

Anyways , i flushed a shit load of 5.8 ph'd water until i was getting almost 100% return ,
runoff was at 6.3 and then i fed it this time at 2ml/ltr a+b , 1ml/l ryzofuel and 1ml/ltr cal mag , with a total of 3 litres of soloution @ ph 5.8
With minimal runoff after final flush and waiting to introduce the nute watering.

image.jpeg <---- jusy after flush and feed yesterday , still a little pale for my liking so i went above and beyond and gave a foliar feed of 1/4 strength A+B ,and ryzofuel for stress just before the lights went off.

And here we are today , leaves are starting to look puffy like there growing and stretching out to expand in the night cycle , and are getting darker in colour Slightly.
All the new growth hasnt any purple striping in the stems and its looking much better overall. Not 100% happy yet but im going to give it a few days to adjust and see how things pan out , i personly think its just about to start growing a bit more vigirously in the rest of the week but time will tell

I hope everybody likes what iv done so far , iv only been growing the last two years and iv gone from a few different disiplines in growing cutting my teeth as i go and trying to find what i like best .

Im far from an expert. And im really hoping some coco gurus come by this thread and may be willing to lend some advice on really tweaking coco and helping me to achieve a better end result.

This will also be the first time using a scrog , i purchased a scrog net from ebay and was rather dissapointed so ill provably have a go at double scrogging , and moreso using the egay net as a pre scrog scrog , to help with building a nice short wide structure of the plant , then fill the top screen

Heres the frame i knocked up for 25 bucks including my fancy pink cord ( i personly love the colour and its uv resistant too , so apparently its going to hold tensile when its in the garden , i couldnt find any 3 way 90degree connector pieces so im thinking im just going full ghetto spec and going to zip tie and duct tape the net into place when the time comes.

Veg day 10 from transplant : Alot happier with the direction things seem to be moving in, foliage is starting to glow , a waxy shimmer is appearing on the more develloped fan leaves and its starting to devellop onto a small vegetating plant now , not just a confused little cut haha :-)

Looking good! I love the crafty LST method you have going on there!

I can't help when it comes to coco, i only run dwc but can't wait to see this through. I run basically same size tent and same size light with a 1 plant scrog.

What's your plan on veg time?

Thankyou buddy and welcome to possibly the most dodgy ghetto spec thread up here! Lets get it lit !

I veg as long as it takes to fill up the square meter :-P hahah , its hard to say pal. The cutting is around 2 weeks since transplant , and only started to grow vigirously in the last couple of days , hard to tell!
But im shooting for the end of the month. That or whenever the space is nice and full.

I have a shitty ebay net im going to lay down in about a week. Fill that out then lay my scrog over that

Props on your last run !
Shit looked mint !
Was it you that just did the amnesia ?

Keep it real

Thanks , its fucking amazing to be back , theres still some questions to be answered as how im planning on getting around my rental inspection in 4 weeks  , but i do love a challenge.
Also that rental agency is about as organised as a shit in a sewer!
Will be doing my best to update with pics daily , iv been in a bit of a funk past four weeks ,

Had a h.s.o. Green crack fem seed i babied from the word go and i got it to this size image.jpeg
He or she never showed sex , it was the strangest thing , theonger i waited the more the sex looked like male , and i didnt really want to flower it and reduce veg time and yeild to see if it indeed was male , so i just chopped it !
It did have all the telltale symptoms of male but it was bloody hard making the call and pulling it out

I was moreso upset because if it indeed was fem , id probably have already had it flipped and be half way to flowertown:mad:

But as iv been told , this is the game we play

Stay classy ladies and gents :-)

In the future you can take a clone from your plant and flower it separate from it's mother plant. The clone will show sex within a week saving you time and frustration from the discovery of a male plant. Hope this helps.

Haha sounds like a good watch!

True true, i love watching scrog grows, can't wait to see that net filled up!

Thanks! Yeah the Amnesia is mine, still going actually! I think I'm finally on my last like 10 days, she's lagging along at the end here, but it'll pay off!

I love it but havent got the space for the res with my current situation , that and i will admit , i did have a flood or two hahaha :-D also its a bit of extra effort setting up and dialing it all in , but as we know once it is , its fast heavy and smelly

And from last run , i did x2 54 litre coco buckets in the same tent and light , different strains and i never got time to build the net , just tied all my colas to the roof of the tent and wire on my adjustawing.
I did real good , couldent tell yoi what i yielded because i dont have big enough scales .
alls im saying is i had primo smoke for months on end , ice water hash got days and a few stacks when it was all said and done . I have a small circle whom smoke ALOT , but they love it because they know the time and effort that goes into my garden and that there not getting average stuff from a cash cropper thats only interested in as many cycles as they can manage a year

From what i've read coco is def a great second choice!

in my oppenion , buds aernt as large and dont flower as quick , but the smell , resin production and taste is uncomparable in coco to hydro , maybe i didnt just flush as long as i did in coco , yet again im always pretty lazy with flushing , im actually wondering how im going to drain all the flush soloution out the bottom container when the time comes , as ill be tied up in a scrog and height restrictions apply , i might just prop it up with a phone book or two and cut the zip ties that hold the scrog into place ?

Just got home and did a quick inspection on the grow room , everything is going swimmingly , i only have one complaint at this stage and that is the internodal spacing is a little large for my liking , very stretchy strain , that combined with using hps for veg also. However i cannot justify getting another globe just yet ,

Upon noticing the stretching going on i have been inclined to lay down the first net over her for now , as pics will depict , she is a little small at this stage to tuck and such , but if this long internodal train continues , im going to want to start topping rather soon and encouraging it to grow outward not upward and thats where i plan on putting this first net to work.

Some pictures.

image.jpeg I will be waiting a few days to begin training again , which is going to bore me to death ( i really do have a problem with patience ) although i cannot complain , the specimin appears to be very healthy and happy , the defiencys have appeared to cleared right up . Its just a slow and painfull wait until the explosive veg starts.

Hope everybodys having a good day/night and that there gardens are looking and smelling wonderful

Peace

Hey guys , how are you all doing today/this evening.

Appoligies for not updating over the weekend , i was out being a trashbag and drank my weekend away , however i did manage to pull my rum soaked head into the grow store on saturday for advice and to ahow and tell , just to make sure im pushing things in the right direction.

I decided to purchase great white benefitial bacteria and iv moved to 2.5 ml / ltr of h&g a+b cocos
Still on 1ml / ltr of cal mag
And 1ml / ltr of cyco ryzofuel

Got pretty hands on with her just now and did some bending , unfortunatley i found the bending tollerance on one of my mains and broken her little leg , but i made a splint and wrapped her up in duct tape right quick , in every instance iv done this accadently to a branch , aslong as the mending is done right away , the success rate of keeping said branch is 100% so keep your fingers crossed for me
