Okay, so I'm starting a perpetual grow this coming January in a 6'Lx5'Wx7'T walk in closet. I live in Texas, and before I go spending money on a lights I'm hoping someone can give me an idea of which would be "better" a 400 watt or 600 watt? And by better I mean could I keep a 600 watt cool in an area that size? I'd rather not use a 400.
The plan was to use an enclosed hood with one end open to the room to draw air across the light and the other end hooked up to an inline duct fan (say 440cfm) pulling the air out of the hood through ducting and a Carbon Scrubber then out a vent cut into the door.
Now I will either build a Box inside the closet to hold the mother plant and clones or a box for two 2x2 trays. Only one area will be in a box with the other area open to the whole closet.
Obviously the 400 watt would be easier to keep cool, but I want to use a 600 for those big yields. There will be two box fans pushing air around the closet. I'm just worried about the 100+ degree Summers.
