Looks like maybe about 2 weeks for those diesels. I dunno. They got fed today. Changed up the water in my water cure bath. Things are good.

Edit: anyone know how to upload pictures in sequential order? for some reason it always jumbles my pictures up when I upload them and it creates difficulty identifying what plant is what on close ups when the tag is not visible. its kind of a pain to relabel each pic. but whatev

Results are in for the cure and dehydration. After two days in the water cure I noticed very little amount of odor and no discolor like I did when I changed it the first time. I think this is due to the fact I am using organic nutes and soil. This is just what I'm thinking though. So I figured most of the chlorophyll and all that other nasty shit that gets sucked out was gone and went ahead and threw it in the dehydrator.

After about 2 hours the smaller buds were done and it took about 3 and a half hours to dry out the main cola, which I ended up removing most of the buds from the stem to futher speed up the process. After all said and done came up with approx 6 grams of bud. Well within the guess of 14-18% retained weight like I read. Smoke was very smooth and earthy taste was how my buddy described it. The high its self was just as I thought it would be with 80/20 on the trics. As you'll see in the picture the bag appearance defiantly suffered but this stuff was a hell of a creeper bud. I can't stress how nice the high was. Looks can be very deceiving. Half a gram kept me very nice for about an hour and a half. Only bothered taking a picture of the very top part of the cola bud which I left. I plan to do some more water curing actually I would like to do it with one of the diesels and then air dry one and compare. We shall see.

The other girls look great. Ready for more nutes tomorrow.

While I was dehydrating the bud I went head and made some brownies with the stems and clippings I had. Turned out to be a very good night.

I checked out the trics on the diesels and they are still all clear. Dutch have you read anywhere approx how long it takes the trics to move from clear to cloudy and cloudy to clear? is there a general time-line or is it heavily strain dependent?

Well, they go from clear to cloudy to amber. It really depends on the high you want. If they are still clear you get more of a "up" high, amber is more "couchlock", and cloudy would be a mix of the two.

Doing well. The coffee ryder is coming on strongest now. The diesels have some cloudy trics now. I'm getting anxious for them to finish. I just had to buy another cut. I hope the end of that is coming soon. Trying my best to have as much patience as I can right now...haha

Glad the water cure worked out for you. I think it's pretty interesting stuff myself. That coffee ryder looks amazing - way denser with less leaf than most of the ryder's i'm used to. Nice job.

Thanks buddy. Yeah I think water curing has its place and time, and like I said I'm going to use it again. But I also want to air cure some as well. I'm looking for probably 70/30 amber to cloudy ratio...and like I said they are just now turning cloudy I think its going to be even longer than the two weeks I had hoped for at the beginning of the week. Can't do much except keep checking every few days.

IMO...you're letting your plants go too long at 70/30 amber/cloudy....understand where you may have come to that conclusion but have ya actually done a comparative harvest to actually determine what ya like most....? Years ago, I did my own comparisons and found amber is something I wished to avoid being much of, in just about every strain I grow.....

I am in the middle of doing that now. I would like to try letting one go to 70/30, but the leaves had started yellowing and it visibly looked like two ladies were done. I took down two diesels last night I got some pictures but have been busy. I hope to get them up later on tonight. Both plants yielded 40 grams and some change wet weight. I'll make it a point to update tonight.

40 grams each. Doing (currently as we speak its in the dehydrator) a water cure and a dry cure. Figured there was no better time to do a nice compairson on the two methods.
