I'm glad I found this thread because I just bought a 24×48×64 inch secret jardin tent and was recommended to use sun system 315 lec, but I have never grown inside before, only outdoors so I basically know only what I've read from factory and don't know anyone who has used this light. How well does it perform and is that sufficient for that size tent? Any reviews or thoughts in general would greatly appreciated, thanx

I haven't flowered with it yet, but so far its pretty bad ass. Less heat and power usage then a hps and more spectrum then LED and its cheeper then the good units. I cant speak on behalf of Cree lights, but so far i very happy with the 630w. Its a great option for a 4x4.

Thanx for the info.once I have mine up and running ( 2 wks tops ) I will post info on how my particular setup performs, hopefully the one light will be enough, but if I have to I will use a couple of 2ft fluorescents to augment. Thanx

Looking good in there, wait until you see how fast they transition into flowering and mature compared to other techs. It took me a couple of rounds to get used to the fast maturation rate.
You think i should trim some of the under growth or just run it jungle style and see how the bottoms fair with the light? I have alot of tops.

The 315w is supposedly covers a 3x3 area well. 2x4 is a little different but you should have enough hight to just raise the light some to cover the area. The light wont be as intense but you dont need to be real close with these.

I agree with Big Puffer. The LEC 314 covers 3.3x3.3. I have a 2x5 closet area I grow in and the LEC 315 works pretty well in there but I do get light burn if the light is closer than 18" to the plant canopy.

Personally I don't do a lot of trimming but will the odd time if the growth is too thin or won't get much light with larger plants. Usually if I do it's towards the end of stretch once I see where things will land once stretch is done. Looking great!

i already have 4 of the boulder lamp 315 watt lec's and im loving them.. the bulb runs horizontal so i think it gets better coverage than the verticle run sun systems lamp.. i keep it 2ft above canopy never closer than that and even bottom buds are of good size and quality..dont forget your plants will finish flower up to a week faster under the ceramic spectrum and i think crystal production is better too...

Just a few more pictures before swithing to flower for size and stretch comparison.
I noticed the light is a little crooked. I have my hangera on the same length but its still pointing a little to the front of the tent. I was wondering a solution? Put a weight on it?
Looking great in there, that'll fill that space well once they stretch. I find adjusting the spread on the hangers will usually correct any tilt but you could try some weight or padding one of the hangers.

I'm in on this one. I'm currently in my 3rd week of flower with a 630 SS lec in a 4x4 gorilla tent. Good luck to us both. I hope these lights rock as much as I think they will.
I'm finnishing week 1 of flower. But like my last post said the fucking temps are ridiculous! I had to put an emergency AC in the room where my tent is. Last week i had to heat the place cause it was too cold.... id like to see pics if you got'em..

Here are a couple shots of my legal grow at day 19 flower. I used mainlining and super cropped up to the end of the second week to try and keep an even canopy. They are in 3.5 gallon coco hempy buckets.
