Hello, thanks for taking the time to read my journal. Everyone's welcome to comment and join in this very special grow!
Little, about me. I am a long time grower that has been involved with some kind of grow from large mega grows, to small micro's. I've learned allot along the way, but always live by you should never stop growing (no not as in weed but as a person). So I always keep a positive disposition, and never stray from constructive criticism. Putting it short I'm always willing to learn something new. In This journal, as much as I would love to learn something new. I believe, I maybe like you will learn something I forgot along the way and thats my biggest reason for sharing this grow with you. So pack a bowl, chill n burn one and enjoy!
THE START: Well before I get into my current grow let me tell you about my previous. I am or was a MMCG who after losing my last patient to there illness decided to stop growing for others and scale things down to personal. It has been over a year since I made that change and now in my eyes had the perfect setup to fit my situation and growing needs. I don't want to get into Exactly what was in my grow because at this point it doesn't matter. so lets get to what does matter!
About three weeks ago I came home to find my complete grow destroyed with the culprit still there, my wife. Apparently, she found a dating website on my home computer that later was revealed my brother was on. assumed it was me, and while I was at work unable to explain decided to wreck what she new would hurt me the most. Holly shit She was right! wish she would of kicked me in the balls instead! Anyways I came home to coco flying everywhere. She took a hammer to my ballast and lights showering my grow in glass and magical light dust (CFL veg area was the worse). All my bags of medium ripped open and dumped all over the place and all my plants ripped to shreds with every single pot to seedling tray flipped upside down or smashed. Into this horrific pile of growing crap. Needless to say I left my house before I did something stupid and ended up gone staying with family not to return for 8 days. I dont want to get to far into my personal life and ask you hold comments about my wife we been married ten years and obviously she was beyond hurt by what she thought. Well 8 days later after talking things out and missing my family like crazy I returned home. My wife warned me she had not touched anything downstairs for fear she would make it worse lol kind of made me laugh. Anyways, I went down to clean up and after allot of tears and two big black bags of trash I finally was getting to the end cleaning out my what used to be veg/seedling departments. When before my eyes was a miracle. Now keep in mind it had been 8 days since I was home and when she had destroyed my veg/seedling area I was due to water that night. She had ripped all my vegging plants and flipped my seedling tray upside down knocked out the shelf that separated the two areas and smashed my cfl lights all over them along with dumping coco and soil all over them. Prior to hurricane dumbass My seedlings were all sprouted about 4 in. working on there second set of real leaves pass the Cotlydons. Anyways like I said i'm about done cleaning when I get to the bottom of this pile and on my second hand of dirt pull up one of my seedlings to see that unlike her sisters that were as to be expected shriveled and dead...she had life. She looked horrible all the chlorophyll gone from her leaves with her roots horrible dark and shrinking but I new some how some way she was alive! After sifting around I found one more like her in even worse shape but decided this was nothing short of a growers miracle and I had to save them!
At this point I had nothing of use so I laid them back down in the pile of crap and started to freak out I mean this was all so unorthodox and any long time grower knows you get so set in your procedures it seems like theres no other way to grow. I didn't have the time or resources to set back up right away but these two lifeless ladies needed me. So first step was needed dirt asap I wanted to just grab dirt from outside but just new the problems I could be creating for already extremely stressed out seedlings. So I knocked on my neighbors door with a bullshit story about my daughter knocked over my wife's favorite house plant and scored a quarter bag of well lets just say sterile soil lol. I had nothing to put them in so I cleaned and cut two 2 litter bottles in half and wrapped them with tape to block light from roots and wrapped paper around that to document there days and feedings. Once planted I ran to the local store and grabbed 3 CFL's 23watt 6500k got back home and rigged up a rubbermaid bin for a life support center complete with tin foil. Yes, tin foil it was an emergency and don't tell me about burns or hot spots. It was better then nothing and im running 3 CFLs not a hps or Mh. Ever try to burn ants with a magnifying glass and a flashlight doesn't work. Anyways, got them in there new home maybe one hour after finding them and started to pray. I really didn't expect them to make it over night, and the next day when there cotlydons shriveled up I thought it was the end. However, that was now a week ago and they are still alive and one making a complete turn around with actual new growth meaning she got some roots back! Im trying to go by less is best at this point and try to allow them to re-establish a healthy root system and see what happens. I know alot of you will think this is a waste of time that there gonna turn male or herm from the stress and obviously never grow to there full potential but for myself 10 days of no water no light and being covered by a mound of dirt and nasty light filament with decaying plants is far beyond stress thats death! Yet there still alive It brings me back to what I said at the beginning of this story of what I forgot along the way to becoming somewhat of a "pro grower" that weed is just that a weed and for all those new growers out there dont get to head spun in all the diffrent techniques and opinions about what you need to grow. We all start somewhere and sometimes like me we have to start over. Thanks for your time I hope all your grows go fantastic any advice is appreciated and if I can help I'm always willing to lend some knowledge. I will keep this updated with there progress and lets see what happens.

DAY 2 & 3 "The new beginning "
No water day two just alot of love hand watered again on day three 1 cup distilled water to the bigger one and 1/2 cup to the little one. By all means this is light for watering when dealing with healthy plants for any new growers please dont use my watering chart for this point of the grow i'm hand watering based on not only my medium and grow environment but also by overall appearance of medium and plant. I forgot to mention day 1 I put them on a 18/6 light schedule I figured after no light for 8 days 24/0 might be to much and shock them however by day 3 have now got them 24/0. Again this is being done due to my situation I am not a big fan of 24/0 for healthy plants but cant deny night growth is based off stored energy and with my damaged roots like clones my growth is coming from direct photosynthesis untill they get healthy roots back.

Day 4-7 " leaf the past behind"
Day 4 was really the start of new growth production. The first set of real leaves have turned yellow as the plant reverts energy from the leaves to root production. No feeding today however I did give them a light spraying with just distilled water. keeping them on a 24/0 for now.
Day 5- Lots of new growth today enough to trim the bottom leaves off the big one ( more then 75% yellow) don't want any energy going into saving a lost cause. With the amount of new growth shouldn't cause any stress and really should be more of a relief. I am also going to feed today using distilled water only. However, I will give them a full normal watering (water till theirs runoff). lights still 24/0.
Day 6- everything is starting to look green and fresh. The little one has had some good growth so time to trim the bottom leaves out like her big sister. Little more worried about stressing this one but it needs to be done. No feeding today little surprised in my borrowed soil actually has decent drainage. still looking forward to transplanting out of it.
Day 7. Both are doing very well and are not showing any signs of stress from such a early trim. No watering today, soils still little damp about a inch down. Also im going to be bringing back to a 18/6 light schedule. Today I will hit them for 20/4 and see how they respond to a little dark.

bummer, my lady knows that fact as well, if she wants to push my buttons, she knows where to press em...... subbed

Seems like your well qualified for a juicy journal. Wow, 10 days on their death bed, that just shows the vigor of those seedlings. love to see how you breathe life into them babies.

by the way...are those seedlings Jane Doe's...or do you have an idea on the strain?

Hello Mehrific Thanks so much for joining in! You nailed the exact point of this journal and what I really wanted readers to take from this. This plant when given just the basics and love can still thrive. I think most new growers fail by over thinking things. I also think most "professional growers" forget this point especially when mentoring someone new.
Not everyone has the same situation, strain, or grow room its important as a new grower or pro grower to never think you know it all and always strive to learn somthing new. Example three weeks ago if you told me your plants had been burried for 8 days not even given a drop of water or light all my years of growing would of said there dead. Anyways thanks again for the drop in the strain is somewhat of a mystery since there was 12 seedling orig. And 4 diffrent strain. Could be master kush, pineapple exp., lemon skunk, or white widow. Looks indica but after so much stress who know at this point I have zero experience growing from death lol.

Day 8 and 9 "slow but steady"
Day 8 - seems like they liked having the lights off so I will keep them at 20/4 again. I will be giving them a feeding today. Only distilled water.
Day 9- really exciting day growth production is picking up. Keeping in mind that whatever happens to your plant top side is in direct comparison to whats happening below. I believe my roots are starting to not only thrive but are starting to reach out so she can hold all the new growth. No feeding today and will be last day of 20/4 as tomorrow going to 18/6.

day 10 and 11 "out of the woods"

Day 10 - Well things are looking fantastic today. No feeding today as its not needed. lights will be put to 18/6 today and from here on out. I couldn't be happier given all these poor girls have been through.
Day 11- wow they really responded nicely to the 18/6. Everything is now green and lush should start to see a ton of new growth over the next few days. Still these babies are definitely munchkins they are now almost a month old and stand a whopping 3 to 4 in. lol but the nodes are almost on top of eachother and working on there forth set. I will give a feeding today (distilled water only).

Day 12 and 13 - "auto pilot" Just time to chillnburn1 and let them auto pilot for a few more weeks untill i'm ready to flower. No feed on day 12 Light feed on day 13 (distilled water only). Sorry I keep repeating that but I really hope new growers see how all though nutes can be super beneficial its not needed right away, and in my opinion where most new growers go wrong trying to over think everything. Leaving them with no real hand on knowledge to base a good opinion on and just try to emulate what worked for someone else. Lol k im done anyways I hope everyones grow out there is going fantastic. Any thoughts or questions feel free to ask. Thank you again for your time and interest.

DAY 14- "time for a plan" Well no feeding today and really kind of stumped where to take this grow. Im hoping to have my regular grow back and running within a couple weeks. Yet find myself kind of wanting to keep this particular grow true to how it started. organic, and with low cost equipment. Any suggestions welcomed thanks everyone! I will post some pics soon just didnt want to bore everone with a thousand veg shots.

3 CFL 23 watt 6500k/ 1600 lumens per and kept at originally 2in from tops now moved to 3 in due to better growth. If by chance you never herd of PAR its super important to understand as a Cfl grower. Usable lumens are reduced drastically by only a few inches away. Obviously this is where HPS or MH whoops a Cfl's ass. However, since a cfl generally runs cool and is self ballasted and compact you can be more creative in light placement. Keep that in mind for flowering as your yield will grow drastically if you keep sides well lit as well as your canopy. I still have the same lights on them. When I decide if im going to keep this simple and maybe cfl all the way. Or once my reg. grow is set back up throw them in there.

I will most def.follow if you keep it simple, I think we need more people to dumb it down, and see the results of doing so. a little less complication and a little more love. I am now running my one plant on one 42w 2700k and one 13w 2700k, I will probably pick up a couple 6700ks sometime in the next week and a couple y adapters and run my whole op as is. Any tips for organic nutes, I am going to use molasses during flower, or any tips for me on the simple grow? Thanks and Happy growing! :weed:

Also, I have a sativa dom hybrid, (BlackJack) black domino x jack herer strain.. I only have a 30 inch tall box and a 12 in pot.. I was wondering, since this is a sativa dom it will probably want to start stretching. I was going to do 24/0 for 2 weeks 18/6 for 2 weeks then 12/12 on out.. do you think this is a good idea? or should i just do two weeks 24/0 strait to 12/12. I am not looking to get a enormous yield as much as a "nice" potent yield. Due to the limited space, and the fact that I would like to smoke this girl down asap, what could you recommend me to do ? Thanks much !
