Advantage V. disadvantage CFL's

now I started reading got to about page 15 and had to make a few points and an observation.

dont mean to flame the thread but....FIRE ON...:fire:

Last frontier's first post "i will say in defence of the production grower large intense lights are a good and usefull thing because it cuts down on the doliers per OZ of production that in my opinion is the onley time you would need the extra lumens "

look how he spells dollars and only, proof he is 12 and getting Fs :wall:

plus he states how HIDs do in fact get more ozs per what, and at the same time he gets more gs per watt then the best known recorded production grower.:o

Maybe he cant spell or use spell checker cause English is not his first language. But he contradicts himself in the first paragraph, as far as a true grower, when contrasted to his persona on this thread as far as I read.

Now I think he is novice, maybe child, but for my karmas sake, I will say slow or non English speaking. :weed:

So I will give advice because I think that is what he is asking for. The answer is: If you want to adjust spectrum it would be best to go with a single or an aray of 400-600 watt hps, and then you could add supplement light spectrum via clf or led. With led you can get the 12 watt floods spectrum specific blue or red. Lumen's are not what the plant uses to grow as much as spectrum. Now the spectrum of hps is better than any kelvin ratting of cfl for budding production, but as a supplemental lighting (preferably hanging vertically in the corners at center plant level) they could increase yield.

Remember at the cost of good medicine, the little yield increaser can add up to big savings.

Well if ur ass spent more time reading you would probably make fewer spelling mistakes. Download a fuckin spell checker for your browser, because it seems like u need someone to do the spelling and wording for you, freakin illiterate. "Mabey" "dose" "yeild" "worring" and still not a single comma or period. Did you ever go to high school?

Post those pics or stfu. This forum is reserved for real shit and not ur misleading fake shit. I'm down with CFL's, I use them myself. Check out my posts, my one plant has at least 2 oz main stems and then a few more nuggets on the other branches. However, your lies and ur shit gets me irritated. How comes you even care that much that you have to lie like that? Are you a CFL salesman or something? You're one weird person thats for sure.

wow it has been a min since i have looked at this thread and as usual the haters come out at nite like i said before my freezer is full and if you are not getting the same results then you are having some problem some where but o well bang bang get it.

TIA

Seems to me you know exactly what you're doin there bro ! question, I have a 2ft. 8 light T-5 fixture, 4 blue, 4 red tubes. can't seem to find info about lumens, i'm a newbie, do you have any expertise in this area?:weed:

I use so much just I had to add in a separate breaker panel for my flower room.
It is currently using 32amps, now it is supplied with upto 60amps on demand, just add another breaker.

the only thing that i got out of this whole thread is that cfl doesnt compare to HPS in a large grow setup
Who said CFL really was for large scale?
It started as a stealth growing tool, I use is medium scale just fine, but I am going HPS next week but keep my CFLs for side coverage (something HPS cant do):bigjoint:

Thanks for your help, lastfrontier, and phenom420, your name fits bro ! WOW:eyesmoke:

Yeah that's something a noob would come up with. Its not about being your lumens, it's about growing some great shit and how to get it done.
