Also what do you have for height in this space? You will have no problem growing taller plants in there but keep in mind with the 75w cobs a little wiggle room is nice like 12 in between the cob and cola
Height is the issue .. 6'2" clearance in my rooms .. all my plants are no taller then 2'6" from the floor

Yes I had @robincnn send me a 50ohm Potentiometer which I will use for the 75w rails and dim them down to about 60-65w. My room is actually 11x8, and i have 3 different cycles in the flower room for a steady harvest and rotation.
I seen all the videos by @Growmau5 and decided to sketch something up so I could get options before I start cutting and drilling and shit. so you do think this will cover that space evenly?
Thanks
yes i think that is plenty of light, its a good layout i just dont like my lights that close to walls.your height wont be an issue.

im planning to build (16) CXB3590s for a 4x6 flower room. Running off 4 HLG185 1400 so 50w each cob and will be 4 seperate panels. You could do the same except do 3 panels so 12 COBs @ 50w each?

CXB3590 6500k 72v DD BIN @500ma super efficient veg light

@REALSTYLES thanks for all you do for the community! i am in the process of researching to purchase a DIY COB config for my 2x4 veg room. I was thinking about basically building one of your super panels (4 CXB3590s powered by one driver). I noticed you mentioned your veg tent uses 6500k DD bins. Should I use (4) 6500k DD bins for my veg light? or should i consider (4) 3500k in case i ever decide to expand my flower room? Or would you suggest a totally different COB LED?

Awesome .. Walls wont an issue where these lights are going. As you can see running 2 600w HPS with that height required alot of exhaust and just not efficent
Thanks for the help and I will keep everyone updated as I go

You won't find 6500k DD bin only a few got lucky DB would be your best bet. I would just stick with 3500k.

both work. check out his rows and you will see he uses both. I use both also. I like the flat USA heatsisnks painted black and i can add additional 3w leds around the cob's like this.
How did the extra added three watt LEDs work for you or working for you?

Just got an email from Mike @ RapidLed .. they just got the 72v Cree CXB3590's 3500k in stock in case anyone is interested. Free shipping
Mike also just added the gen 7 veros (36v 3500k 80cri) and has pin heatsinks. He offers a 200 watt 3xVero kit with heatsink and driver for $225 as well. Really great prices and products from this guy, and fast shipping from CA. He will have the SE version with built in holder and poke in connectors next week. I ordered my driver heatsinks and supplies through and and am very pleased with his service.

great. I can smell the girlz waking and sleeping. I use Deep Red 15 minutes to start the day, and Far Red to end the day. I use IR all day with Deep Red. Royal Blue all day for veg too with 5000k COB's

My 36v COB's have arrived today, and I had it all up DIY in 4hr's +/-
the 72v COB's are on there way and should be here by Saturday.
I'll keep you all updated
That looks awesome!! Why driver are you using for these 5? What do you plan on doing with the 72s
My package from mike is on the way! I opted for Vero COBs, but went with the same heatsinks as you. Hoping I can get mine together in 4 hours. That would be great

I'm using a Meanwell HLG-240H-1400a for the 50v COB's and 2 HLG-320H-1050B for the 72v COB's. I have dimmed the 72v down to 800w from 926;

took me 6hr to build this. I had problem with the DPST swith. It didnt like the 240v apparently, so I bypassed it. However everything is working great!!!!

Awesome build man! I'm hoping to have mine done Tuesday or Wednesday.

I am considering mounting my driver outside the closet. As long as I go with 18 guage wire and don't go more than 8-10' feet away, I should be ok right?

Can anyone comment on how hot the 320 h 1400 actually gets to the touch? I just want to make sure I won't have a fire hazard mounting to sheetrock. I plan on being home any time the COB is on, but still just to be safe.

Also, when hanging a 16"x36" fixture, do you guys think 4 corner anchors are adequate, or should I add additional support in the center? I am using 1/8" aluminum, but would hate to see it sag in the center over time.

18 Gauge should be file. I used solid core copper wire for mine. as for the driver mine were not hot. I would mount to a board then sheetrock as i did.

I put 2 1/4" s hooks on the long sides in between the row's with chain and i used all 1/8th" as well. seems very sturdy and I have some weight on this
