It looks it is a pH problem or nute burn. Check your pH and ppm's.

Yeah my ph is at 9. what's the bestway tobring it down?

If you do not have a hydro shop near you to get some pH Up and pH Down you can get it at any pet store in the fish section.

No I don'thave ahydro shop near me. I'm using an aerogarden....You check out my thread in the hydro/aero section. Since I don't have a hydro shop nearby, what would be the best nutes i should give them, and at what ratio?

Go to the pet store and buy a bottle of pH up and pH DOWN. They keep it with the fish aquarium supplies. You can probably even buy it at Walmart. Add a few drops of pH DOWN with a eye dropper and check it again until you get it down to 5.8. The best nutes to use are Foxfarm Hydro nutes and you can order them online. I use the AG also check out my journal the link is at the bottom of my signature.

I just changed out the water. For some reason the ph spiked over night. So I changed emptied this thing and flushed it out for like 5 minutes in the shower. Then I put the ladies back and re-filled the garden with room temp. distilled water and about 1 ml or this ironite plant food. I can't get the fox farms til i get my rebate check back....ubtil then it's a chess match. I can't buy a ppm meter til then either....

You know what's weird? I changed the water. I did check the ph before i added it. It was right around 6.0. i put the water in the reservoir,andan hour later it was back up to 8.0. How can this happen? Are the babies eating upall the nutes? Why does an acidic solution turn alkaline in under an hour?

Oh yeah, what is this unusual red, purplish coloring on my stems?

I would scrap all the water .. and use room temp SPRING WATER . I never checked my water PH , I filled it to the brim everytime . spring water bro ..its the way to go .. whatever nutes you are using use 1/2 of what they tell you maybe even less .. Good luck

That color might just be the nutrients traveling up the veins in the stems....i had this happen, it leaves permanent stripeing on some parts of some stems...it's kinda cool

Is it also possible that you may have very shitty tap water or well water? This could mess with your PH maybe...

The pH will go up and down every day. I think it has to do with the small rez. You will have to check it every day and keep it around a pH of 5.7-5.8 . Mix your nutes and then adjust your pH to 5.8. You nutes will lower the pH to about 4.0 and will have to add some pH up to get it to 5.8. Then check your rez every day once a day and top off your rez and adjust the pH to 5.8 and check the ppm to make sure it is not too high or you could burn your plants.

Thanks for all your help guys. I'm thinking about tapping in a drain line with a valve so i can just flush and fill this thing with good stuff everyday. Is that too much?

Hey thanks guys. you all have been a geat help. I found a hydro store the next town over and i bought some big bloom and big grow 6-4-4. i got home and noticed (after i flushed and fed of course) that fox farm sells a hydro version 3-2-6. is this one more thing that's going to fuck me up? I finally got the ph down in between 5.2 and 6.2 on my aquarium ph reader. i can't afford anymore set backs....

I used the fox farm soil grow big in my aerogarden at half the recommened dosage because its a little stronger than the hydro grow big...didnt have any problems....
YOull be fine using it....

I am glad to have Joined all of you in this quest, i have recently bought a Aerogarden Classic and in the process of getting everything up and going, i have read through your 1st and 2nd thread Tek, and i must say you are frickin awesome, once mine get a little bigger ill get some pictures up, i got one right now so ill post it, its just a lil guy tho but hes got me excited

With proper PH...adequate nutes at low dosage....and good lighting....you should be well on your way...

I've already been smokin the shit out of em and its only been 5 1/2 days from harvest!

Theyre drying quick, and smoking quick for that matter! lol...Im pretty sure i have at least 20 grams right now, and ive smoke a lot,...

I'm pretty confident I got an Oz from these 2 plants....

Still waiting on a scale for official results...

Ok, ive been seeing a lot of people post about how they can afford or find good nutes to use (i.e. no hydro hobby shop around) so ive done some reading and now im looking for insight on this, i have found a way to use the same plant food you use in soil, in a hydro setup, with added stuff to replace missing elements, heres for the veg stage
HYDROPONIC VEGATATIVE SOLUTION, per gallon:
Miracle Grow Patio (contains trace elements) 1 teaspoon
Epsom salts 1/2 teaspoon
Human Urine (OPTIONAL - may create odors indoors.) 1/4 cup
Oxygen Plus Plant Food (OPTIONAL) 1 teaspoon


and flowering
HYDROPONIC FLOWERING SOLUTION, per gallon:
1 tspn high P plant food, such as 15-30-15, or 5-50-17, etc.
1/2 tspn epsom salts
1 tspn Oxygen Plus Plant Food (Optional)
1 tspn Trace Element food


i was going to use this in the hydro system i made, 3 years ago but never got a chance and sold the setup to a buddy, so im just wondering if anyone has tried it or willing too, it looks like its legit but you never know, i may make another cheapo setup to test it with, comments?

OK, four questions, Nirv:

1. What in the hell gave you the idea to piss in your plants???

2. Do you smoke it with your buddys??? If yes, Do they know?

3. Does it taste like piss??? If yes, does piss taste as bad as it smells?

4. Have you tried adding semen??? I hear it can triple your yield.
