Your right on with only using the clone solution. You just dont need the b-52 that early. I use the bloom formula for veg because i was getting some weird leaf spotting in veg. I switched back to bloom and no more issues. If you are getting roots in 3 1/2 days then your turnaround time in the apollo is getting really efficient. You can see where it pushes production if you can get in on schedule. I have a buddy who has 2 of those 66 site apollos and 2-120 site cloners and hes always stoked. He has plenty of down time. But, when the work starts, it really starts.lol Congrats on our first apollo run. What lights are you using?
im using bell lighting non air cooled reflectors with regular hortilux super hps bulbs. to be honest the only hard work i got really starts when i trim cause as far as transplanting goes i can transplant all those clones in like 45 minutes lol. you wouldnt fuckin believe how long it took when i was doin ebb n flow with rockwool cubes it seriously takes me like 5-6 hours. i always wanted to do aero with no medium and now the apollo allows me to do this

i wanted to get your thought on one more thing willy. the creator of the ez cloner has instructions and heres what he says

"Next, I add my solutions. The first one is Dyna Gro’s – ProTekt. This is a silica based solution that strengthens the cuttings from the inside out. It assists in building stronger cell walls, preventing the formation of bacteria and invading fungi, and helps with overall health and vigor. I add it at dilution rate of 1 teaspoon per gallon. In a large 120 cutting unit, this equates to be approximately 20 teaspoons. In a 60 cutting unit, it equates to 10 teaspoons, and in a 30 cutting unit, it equates to be about 5 teaspoons."

this is the reason i wanted to add silica in the cloner in the first place it sounds like it could be important. do you think i should still not add silica and just cut out the b-52? i wish i could figure out if the barricade had anything to do with my problems cause it sounds like its a very good product to use in the cloner to keep bacteria and stuff away. are plants/clones easily burned if too much silica is used?

Hey tree I encountered the same thing kinda looks like wind burn but found out that it was the concostion I had in the cloner, they didn't like something but couldn't ever find it. I have moved on now and do not use any of the additives to my cloner. Ph balanced tap water has been the key to my sucess.

Ph balanced water kept at 72-76 gives me 100% every time and has since I stopped using the crap. With the water temp in check it usually takes 7-10 days to pop roots.

Good luck
ive also noticed this problem happen when i used rapid start. i forget but i think i used it at 1 ml a gal but that was also combined with b-52. it seems like with these products they always tell you to put too much so its hard to figure out what to measure im not sure if its really too much though or if maybe it shouldnt be combined with the b-52 or not. i havent had a problem with the roots excelerator at 1.1 ml a gal though. something like a roots stimulator shouldnt be burning plants it sucks, its not even a fuckin nutrient lol

im using Rhino skin @ 1ml to the gallon in the cloner. I was trying to eliminate your issues b4 telling you to toss a bunch of shit in there. FYI, Roots Excelurator lose alot of the benefits it provides when used in aero. I think last time i dipped my cuttings in KLN and them put them in the cloner with voodoo and rapid start. Thats all i use for the first couple of weeks. After they root and have roots 3" or so is when i start adding sensi bloom a/b. I havent used the b-52 and rapid start together when they are cuttings. I start that after they go from cuttings to a rooted cutting.

thanks willy that makes sense. from now on everytime i add a new product in the cloner im gonna do it one at a time so if theres a problem i know whats causing it. its probably smart using rhino skin at 1/8 strength instead of 1/4 thanks for the help

RHino is gentler too because it has no potassium in it. Humboldt's S. I. (Structural Integrety) is an equal and cheaper product providing silica without P.

o shit so your saying rhino skin is different than barricade? i mean other than how concentrated it is

Good for you tree. Hope the cloning process streamlines out for you. Oompa times in your garden.
thanks boy did it ever. since i took the clones 3 weeks into flower plus burned them and plus diluted the water by a third, i didnt think they would root that quick. its been 7 days as of today, maybe 8 im not sure and i havent checked for roots in a few days. all the sudden i just looked and every clone i have has a pretty big root mass coming out of it. it looks like they rooted 2-3 days ago lol. all i gotta say is nothin is fuckin with the power clone solution!! its the best shit on the market as far as im concerned. whoever wants roots in 3-5 days try it out and you dont have to use even close to full strength you could probably get away with 10 ml a gallon. at first i didnt want to use it all the time cause i thought i was wasting money but now im goin to buy the biggest bottle i can find fuck it

After noticing a calcium deficiency 2 weeks into using connoisseur at 3/4 strength with r/o water I had to investigate. So I went to swtich the batch of nutes again and heard hard stuff moving around in the part B bottle im not sure what has caused this but it looks like all the calcium that should be in the nutrient solidified. I will be using dyna gro (grow) as my base until they send me a new bottle. My plants AN are larger than normal for 3 weeks though and are out growing my room but I am not liking a calcium deficiency.

With my D.G custom nute soup plants are looking beautiful no deficiency at all

$70 for a&b liter I prefer no chunks in my LIQUID fertilizer

Are you in hydro or dirt my man?

Grabbing me some 7-9-5 grow and 0-0-3 pro-tekt from DG this week for my soil plants, hoping i can keep em green with these ratio's..

hydro. but that will work for you id recommend to get a blossom booster big buds good and a little kool bloom in peak flower. But honestly you can have a successful grow with just the two you mentioned.

I have been reading more and more hydro plants like more N less P and most K

I have always been fairly successful with a 1-3-2 nute ratio lately trying to get to the 3-2-4 or something like that but not with AN I guess. Still waiting on a reply from their rep... H&G here I come...

Really if your doing dirt and want a easy application id say go with G.H flora nova bloom its a great one part and it will work for veg also. Strong stuff though dont over do it.

Got a link to your readings about K?

The infamous A.N website. Im not hunting it down now but your welcome to. Also alot of hydro specific nutes have those ratios such as Ionic or H&G aqua flakes. Both are hydro specific. I am not sure of this and thats why I am trying those ratios my self. I am still in search of the perfect mj nute ratio.

The only thing worse than actually buying AN products is 'learning' from the garbage they post on their site. That is not information, those are sale-pitches. If you're interested in 'hydro specific nutes' and are trying to learn from the ratios that seem to be common, why aren't you looking towards General Hydroponics or DynaGro? Those two companies have both been in business for over 30 years. GH is used in space and DynaGro is available in 55 gallon sizes for professional greenhouse use. It's your garden but personally I think you're moving in the wrong direction.

Thanks you for your advice all is welcome. I am starting to think nute ratio is a very minor aspect to growing good cannabis. I starting to relize how adaptable cannabis really is. And I do use dynagro its my go to formula. I like how clean it is in my dwc. But I had to try a.n to see for myself. Honestly between there terrible sales reps and the chunky formula I got I probably wont be using them anymore. However my plants did get big quick when using a.n. but maybe to big :-/

to A.N---big plants are not going to get you big yields if the calcium solidifies in the bottle and you get a ca def 2 wks after using your product...

My dnya plants are nice and short dense and now that I have their formula dialed in my plants stay healthy the whole way through. I also have used G.H flora nova with great success but the formula tends to get messy in dwc.

How have you been liking that H&G?

your plants got too big mr. green thumb so you wanna stop using it? lol thats a first, seems like a good problem to have. all i know is ive been buying AN for years and ive never had it crystalize in the bottle. buy whatever makes you happy though its all good

Bigger isn't always better. Stem structure and many other variables come into play. And every plants ideal ratio is going to be a little different. Read the plants, experiment, record results. It's the only way to know for sure. There are some tricks in hydro using EC/pH meters to determine what your plants want, but I'm no expert on them.

I can imagine if your plants are sucking in the PPM's while your pH drifts up or down, the direction of the pH change should tell you quite a bit (as well as the general look of the plants).

I haven't run any hydro setups where it would be easy to collect accurate information about what the plant is eating, but eventually I'll give DWC a shot.
