how often will i need to turn my fan on?

700 cf 6inch fan 250cfm.

i am particularly worried that the fan will constantly be pulling my co2 out of the room.

i hope im not mistaken but if you are injecting c02 into your room it should only be 4 twenty minutes or so. right and if so just put your filter on a timer to turn off when the c02 kicks on

gee whiz, what size room? how many watts of light? What are you temps in the room? Lights on fan off? air cooled lights? put the fan on a controller, run you filter by itself, in the room, exhaust in the room. When your fan exhaust controller kicks on due to heat, it will exhaust filtered air. You can get by with the filter setup on the room exhaust but fan size is critical. You don't want to pull air across the carbon too fast. I have found that in room filter, separate from exhaust, works great. You can run a really large can with a smaller fan, since it runs 24/7. You can maintain higher room heat temps with C02. Growers need a controller when utilizing Co2. If air cooled lights, make sure your pulling air from outside the room, through the lights, exhaust out of the room, seal the joints with metal duct tape. Balance is the key. saves you money on electric, and wasted Co2. Co2 is worth it if the balance is achieved.

i was going to use that co2 boost bucket. i would just let it run whenever the lights are on. it is supposed to last 90 days or so. so i am going to run it non stop and buy a new one every grow.

i dont have a fan controller or anything. i was gioing to put it on a timer and adjust according to the enviromental need.

For me I usually have my outake turning on when my lights are on especially in the flowering area two hours later. My intake is usually for longer periods approximately 18 hours. If I wanted to implement CO2 which I normally do not because my intake of air is sufficient enough to provide both growing areas with about 1,600 ppm of CO2.

Ok, never seen them unless they're funny little pucks that aren't worth crap.. How big/heavy is this unit?
And regarding the exhaust, you're just going to need to run some trials with a stop-watch, and a thermometer.. I'd click the fans on at 95°F or so, depending on how long it takes to get that high, and then back down to 80° or so..

Well, I dunno, but an LM35DZ chip (thermometer chip) costs about 70 cents on ebay, ans a relay capable of the load might cost a dollar.. (I dunno, I always salvage them..).. Can be done pretty cheaply with a REALLY simple circuit..
