Looking good GQ. My ladies are sitting at about day 28 of veg and it's crazy with all the different strains I have going on. My 2x4 tent is gonna get cramped I'm thinking, I may need to flip to 12-12 sooner than I had thought. Trying to hold out, as I have an auto in there, too (I know, I'm nuts), and I want to give that beastie as much light as I can for as long as I can. Oh well.

Can't wait to see that SCROG fill up. Was real tempted to give it a go. I did a bunch of topping and some LST instead, and I'm quite happy with the results.

Good luck on the grow, brother. :bigjoint:

Well... some recent drama in my grow. There always seems to be some drama in every grow, but it's usually related to the health of the plants. Not this time. This time was a torrential downpour that filled up the window well that I've been using for ventilation. The lowest point was my exhaust duct and it filled up with water. Lucky I happened to be home and I caught it before it backed right up to the fan...where I'm sure it would've shorted out and burned the house down. Also lucky was that it was the exhaust duct... the water draining into there stopped the level build up in the window well... and if that hadn't happened the water would've backed up into my intake which may have been worse. Now I have to move the whole tent to the other side of the basement :/

Exactly...thought i took all precautions against fire and never thought of this potential hazard that came up...

Day 55 Veg 46 lefty top.jpgDay 55 Veg 46 lefty under.jpgDay 55 Veg 46 middle top.jpgDay 55 Veg 46 middle under.jpgDay 55 Veg 46 right under.jpgDay 55 Veg 46 right top.jpgSo day 55 now from seed and... I'm thinking the girls are looking a lot short. The tallest is maybe about 15" at best and after 6.5 weeks of veg I'm thinking they should be a lot bigger. Am I wrong??? They didn't stall much from being topped twice and they've had two good hair cuts, of which the first kind of stunned them a bit...so.... don't know what is holding them back, unless it is heat. The average temp/hum has been 79/45 all through veg. Hit a high briefly of 84 for a day and a bit, but got that under control... I dunno.... I heard this strain is supposed to be more sativa lanky than indica bushy... pheno's, I know... Anyway, they are really healthy and ready for another hair cut....

I don't have much scrog experience... but... i think you want to start weaving that tallest growth through the screen..
Looks good.
Maybe leave the plant with a few more large fan leaves... ?

I thought of that after the pics...lol I just thought that by now I would've done a lot more weaving. As for the fan leaves, you're probably right...I can let some get big again before flipping to flower, which will have to be soon...those are only 7 gal pots. :P

The 1 gal per month rule has always treated me well... rounding up..

1 gal media per month of growth. If you transplant from say 1 gal to 7 gal, then you say 6 months of growth... you know?

I often add an extra gal or two so i do not have to water as often..

it is slow growth for that period of time, but does look healthy
but not too experienced with topping

I should've figured that...add some extra soil to water less often. I'm already watering every three days and it'll likely be every two days soon...lol And if the 1 gal/month rule works well then I guess I can veg a while longer yet. Meanwhile, I am really tempted to go for the CO2... with my rig the way it is now, I'm totally set up, but I don't know if I want to drop the dollars...

Let the girls run wild for a bit, knowing they would have to have a hell of a hair cut before flipping to 12/12 and I wanted as much growth as possible. And here they are before I took the snippers after them...

And this morning they just finished their first 12/12 cycle after exactly 8 weeks of veg... let the stretching begin....

I noticed you said you water every 3 days. Try watering every other day with more water. Works for me.

I give them 6 liters (1.5 gal) each as soon as it's bone dry on top and just a wee bit moist about an inch down. That gives a good bit of run off so I know all the soil gets good and saturated. But maybe it'd be better to use more like you say. Now that they're a little bigger and sucking up more I think I will have to go every two days soon.

That sounds like a pretty good amount of ater for the size of your plants. Just give the the same amount every other day like you are thinking. It has done me wonders.

One last shave, in week 1 of flower. Hope I didn't go too crazy, but being just less than a week into flower the shave shouldn't stunt things too much. In fact, the last shave didn't seem to seem to slow them down at all, going by the pics from then to now. They got their first does of bloom nutes today. Using A&N Bloom A&B, Voodoo, B52 and, when the time comes, will be using Big Bud and Overdrive.

cutting that much off is crazy, Stess them to the max ?
Ya probably. But this strain recovers quickly. When I topped them they stalled for a couple days, being really young. Then first shave stressed/stalled them for a couple days. But the second shave didn't seem to phase them much at all, as I said. In six days they grew back to the point you couldn't tell they had been shaved. As long I don't shave them anymore from now on they should produce just fine. If I'm wrong, I'll soon find out. lol
