So. The Harvest is creeping up on us. That means a few things. $14 Pumpkin beers, sweater weather, trimming until carpal tunnel sets in - then your hands fall off, and Halloween! The only holiday where you can actually be someone different than yourself, and are encouraged to do so. Cheap candy by the metric fuck-ton, doesn't hurt either.

Love everything about this time of year, and was wondering if anyone else was dressing up this round, or doing anything special... Bounce your costume ideas / party themes off of me so I can steal them and pretend I thought of them on my own!

Pumpkin beer is an atrocity.
I have a friend who likes pumpkin beer. We were discussing it with the local brewmaster at Kinetic and he was discussing how to do it right. I think I'd like to try it if he did it but I think it's something really hard to nail. I know the Shock Top pumpkin beer was poured right down the drain! It was a violation of the Geneva Convention.

But this will be the boy's first Halloween he will remember. We phoned it in last year. Got a cheap Chinee dinosaur costume. When we finally opened it it turned out that one foot was sewn om backward by the child operating the sewing machine. Sooo that was pretty cool.

Have to really do a costume this year. Probably doing a shark.

I have tickets for Delusion: His Crimson Queen. I'm dressing and getting my make up and hair done vintage 1930's for the event, can't wait.

The finest time of year. We've got tons of candy at the ready for the kids, and a good supply of 'adult goodies' for the rest of us!

All I know is that I am going to miss FEST15 this year, and that fucking blows. So many killer bands/beards this round. I heard a rumor that Jello Biafra might be doing an Alternative Tentacles Haunted House show in Frisco, but I doubt we will be that lucky. Fingers crossed.
