AN or Humbolt Nutrients?

I agree with you actually, for the most part.
That information won't do most people good is what I should have said. Even if I was growing hydroponically, I don't think I would need that information to get by. All I'm saying is it isn't necessary if you're not a super advanced hydro grower, growing is simple enough, hydro just needs better attention and math skills.
Sadly I don't do DWC though, some people would call me lazy for not wanting to learn it, others would think it's overrated, personal choice.
Now that you mention it though, I'm gonna do some window shopping for bags of nutrients in raw form to possibly make my own tea like some people on here do.
Seems like I'm going to have an extremely long read tomorrow.
.you wont be disappointed... once mastered, the compost tea is literally a breeze, its merely a waiting period for the brew. you can go "all out" and get microscopes to monitor bacterial and fungal growth progress/maximum fertility. But you really don't need to. A simple good eye and trained nose to your tea you will reap flavor on a new level on the strains you have experience and "lock down" on lol...But seriously your brix levels will be noticeably higher than what you have been used to and you certainly can continue feeding whatever your personal choice of base nutrients and additives... but just keep in mind high phosphorus levels in your feeds will stunt and kill some of the fungi and will need to be "re-introduced" to the soil. You could set yourself up in a situation where you can raise your clones organically and tea based feedings. Once your plant(s) get bigger and bigger and while transplanting, continue to inoculate your soil. when it does come time to send them into bloom, feedings of certain bloom or pk boosters will have a more profound effect on the nutrient delivery in the root zone itself because of the well pre established colony of bacterium. Thus, bigger flowers and more of them. Even tho I do use some "non organic" feeding materials, I use them wisely and continue my teas every week because that is the foundation of my flavors and aromas as well as curing consistency and burning qualities.

Very informative.
I'm actually very interested in organic growing, not because I want to go organic for the reasons other claim they do, impurities, etc.
I want to just for the good feeling, knowing that my plants are 100% organic and can possibly still achieve the same quality of those non-organic.

The problem is, I'd most likely have to grow in soil, which I do not prefer.

I am loving this thread. its too funny. anyways i decided to start with the full dyna grow line. i am using folliage pro, kln , mag pro , protekt. I also got cal mag since i am using ro water. I have to say i am pretty happy with dyna gro foliage pro and protekt so far. i havent got to using bloom yet because i am not that far along but i can only say that foliage pro kicks ass. i agree with the whole salts are salts thing. i am thinking about using using floralicious plus during flower to enhance taste. to home brewer: i am currently using 200 ppm base calmag and 620 ppm foliage pro and protekt. do you think those are good levels for this point in veg. here are some pics ladies and gentlemen at 28 days. plus i think they would be even bigger now had i not stunted them by planting too deep in the coco at beginning and then having to dig them up and replant them. i still got a 9 out 10 success rate with my seeds tho so i am happy.

true, or soil-less.. but "dirt" configuration yes. I have done both ends. and you are right, one you are full synthetic there is no way to keep an effective living bio culture in the soil. So after doing full chem grows in soil, total omri organic living soil grows, to my now method of " a custom both worlds". I have found many advantages. one, I can pop a seed and begin natural feedings and bacterial inoculations and start growing out the new stock plant. Since im starting organic, I still have choice to keep the strain organic as I can take cuttings and do with them as I please, including loading them in my aeroflo. Flip side, I can take a clone to soil or soiless and begin that regimen natural and bacterial related all while she grows. I select custom bacteria and fungi strands because some strands specifically aid in phosphorus and potassium uptake. So, after I organically feed a clone till she gets 3 feet, she has a hell of a colony established. She also has great brix because of my custom natural sweet feedings. Then, when I determine that the flowering period and the plant is at its optimum, I will then SLOWLY introducing select synthetic bloom and resin agents simultaneously with organic teas and feedings. Results...Awesome gooey bud, wonderful presentation, hi brix, and potency for sure, especially for some of the strains I have. And some blooming agents I use are big bud by advanced, heavy 16 fire, kushie kush by advanced. Organic boosters are bio bud by general organics, hpk by roots organics, nirvana by advanced nutrients as far as "bloom boosters" lol. but really the compost tea is great. I don't ph mine, I just don't have a need to with my current strains. But if you get the right mix of your aact tea, it can really go a long way for you if you are looking to up the flavor side of things...
