Any feedback on LP experiences?

400 bucks? For what?

I'm not able to quote or like things because I'm a gross newb...but I was directing that question at leaffan.

The prices are exactly why I wanted to go to Mettrum (they were cheap and offered a discount for lower-income people or people in a social assistance program).

10 bucks a gram are the same as strret prices in Thunder Bay (which I think has the most expensive pot in the world - like 300/ oz). But for the conveince, and the fact that I don't have to worry about getting busted by the coppers for taking the only thing that makes me feel better - I'll pay!
They also have some $7-8 strains too and some decent variety. Having lived in T-Bay for quite a while, you will no doubt be getting better quality than what is normally available locally for the same price or cheaper. And as you mentioned, being legal and not having to stress anymore is amazing.

Once more LP's get approved and hit the market, we should see prices come down further. There are some LP's like Delta 9, Organigram and Green Medical that are all going to have nice selections and product in the $5-8/gram range. Most will also offer compassionate pricing based on your financial situation, I know Delta 9 mentions on their website that they will provide discounts on a case by case basis. There are also non-profit applicants like the McLachlan Cannabis Farms that plan to grow in greenhouses and sell for only $1.50-2.50/gram, hopefully we see some outfits like theirs make it though the application process.

You know it! Spent 25+ years up in different spots along the north shore. Gorgeous scenery and lots of outdoor wilderness to roam in.
I hear ya my man. I was in forestry/silviculture for 10 years and worked everywhere between Wawa and Kenora. T-Bay was my home base, and although the city itself isn't much, the surrounding area is amazing. Those winters though......

I love Thunder Bay, and surrounding northern Area. Worked in silviculture cams for years: Wawa, White River, Geraldton, Jellico, Nakina, Dryden, Kenora, Souix Lookout, Ignace, Upsula, Savant Lake, and just about every spot inbetween that you can set up a hippy bush camp.

LOL this past one was long and brutal. First time I've heard my parents complain after a lifetime of living up there. If you don't own a snow blower you'll be in damn good shape after a winter.

It was $300 to Cannabis Advocates, to find out which doctor to approach for medical marijuana. Then $100 to the doctor (who was not affiliated at all with CMA) to write the prescription/fill the form.

They made it appear that they are associated with the doctor, and that they were arranging an appointment for me, but the doctor is really pissed off about the whole thing (that they are charging) and said they are not affiliated at all. It is a walk in clinic that you end up at so, at the very least, if they were going to charge $300 to give the information, they could have done it via email rather than making me wait 2 weeks for an appointment with them.

Well as soon as I get charged, I'll let you know how much it was. They have had to do a lot of extra work for my claim, because Mettrum was out so I needed to pick a new one.
I'm still hoping it's 100, I'm super poor - haha.

stay away from Mettrum at all costs do not go with #1 Red the most disgusting stuff on the planet weak weak weak. the red number 4 is somewhat acceptable.it will put you to sleep.
I am getting more and more confused in trying to figure out which LP to go with.

I have one or two that I feel relatively good about but they aren't shipping product out yet.

I talked to Delta-9 and I can send my forms in there BUT they have a wait list that may or may not be 6 months (or longer).

Mettrum I could have product in a week or two but from what I am reading here, people don't tend to be happy with Mettrum.

It seems like so many of these LPs are not even ready, which makes me wonder why I bothered to do this right now. No point in my spending the money I did ($400) to get my forms done, and then have to wait 6 months or possibly longer, to get product.

I have to go through the Tilray strains and figure out what to order. I don't need to be "high" all the time. But I need to get off my SSRI's that are making me sick.
One that puts you to sleep sounds awesome, sleep and I are not besties at the current time...

It surprises me people are going with tilray, frankly a company that initially stated that all their product was grown in house then later admitted that they did buy up mar product to relable as their own, loses my confidence. From what I hear from a former employee (who got layed off cuz he was just about to achieve union status and get above his 12.50 an hour shit wages) the two wheelers figured they got shorted on one of their deals, so apparently the scene outside the tilray plant is quite interesting, lots of dudes on bikes to express their dismay, lots of nervous security, and lots of Po doing timed runs from the rc station in case of emergencies, why a company would be so stupid, who knows, but my med bud will be coming from elsewhere , I don't wanna smoke bad karma weed, especially at tilrays ridiculous pricing.

I don't understand.
Picking an LP is up to you. What does that have to do with a doctor?
You see a doctor, get a medical document, then pick an LP.

My appointment is coming from them, but it will not be until next week. I assume that would be when we would talk about the fee? Nothing has come out of my account yet.

I haven't gotten my card or whatever that junk is. My guess is payment on delivery? That sounds about right...

Extra work, just meaning phone calls and e-mails to me. I had picked Mettrum, and since they were out the MMS people called me, AND e-mailed me asking me to pick a new LP. I have, but it was yesterday afternoon.

They are open, according to their website, 7 days a week, give 'em a call! They know a lot more about all this stuff than I do currently. Although I'm studying...
