VERY nice buds, I wanted to ask about your opinon, is it better to top or go LST?
plants that remain untooped will grow massive cola's plants topped have to support 4 main cola's at least. when you top a plant focus on bud sites, try to keep them at the same level. some strains you have to top to contols height. i do both!

Lst is nice too but i rarely do this. i focus on 3 foot plants so height is not a real issue. i see the same effect as LST only i achive this Via food.
if i need to slow the branch or area i simply spin the leaves 180 degres with rolling action. this makes the plant focus on correcting these solar pannels and slows tip growth.

It takes some big nuts to grow big like that outside. But if you can do it....ohhhh the rewards!

Speaking of growing outside...what was that strain you showed us that you said only really comes around once per year because of how big it grows?

that plant looks amazing. I know you can LST at any time but when do you think is the best time to top a plant? How many nodes do you suggest?

well when you top it retards the plant. this needs 6-8 days to correct before you change light of photo period. it really boils down to how big you want it.
if you let 4 nodes then top you could be telling a noob to top @ 14 inches (some people 2 nodes is 10 inches)
it really depends on plant maturity and how streched it is. i like to top before my nodes start alternating. this will pack on the budsites fast.

Well right now my plant is growing it's 10th node and is at 5 inches. The first node is litterally right above the soil since I buried it that way.

But did you see the pot! these girls need massive rootballs. when your outside you have to make the soil rich becuase your not going to be feeding daily. so when this girl went in the ground she had 4 containers of time release water, we won't see her till late october. she is totally on her own. if you want to go get her she is planted along the colorado river.... sorry to be so general:mrgreen:

And Yes i said Time release water
