A few things piss me off about the show. All the damn talking and sob stories, over hyped competitors, they show people that fall and when they go to commercial someone makes it and you don't get to see it. The first american ninja warrior didn't even win the prize money. They should've gave them both a million dollars.
I just finished watching the final. Holy Shit! Was that awesome. I had my boy Isaac pegged early to take it, but Geoff is just a rookie freak of nature. They TOTALLY should have given them both a million. When I think of how douche bags like Charlie Sheen get a million every episode for fucking garbage, and sponsors can't shell out another million for supreme amateur athletes, it makes me nauseous. Oh well, Britten will have opportunities to gain sponsors and make money in other ninja competitions. Great to finally have Americans that have completed the course, only took 7 years...

Jessie Graff is unreal. Stronger and faster than most guys, she's raising the bar for what we expect from women. I love ANW because the girls compete head-to-head with the boys, no dumbed down or lesser course. She's sexy as hell, too...

They raised the height of that wall this year, 14'6". Very few male competitors can do that...

I want to see the spin off show where teams compete in a similar course. Looks like a televised tough mudder competition

I like the Asian version better. Most of those guys were way better and just normal working guys, not pro athletes.

I'd still love to give it a try, I know I could compete with the best of them.
Do they have try outs near your neck of the woods? You should totally try it out. Imagine the bio you would have when they introduced you not he show :-)

they have a few gyms around here with many of the obstacles. i went to one last friday. was able to get up the wall first try and could easily swing between bars.

that said, i wasn't able to lift my arms above my head for days after. still have barely recovered.

gonna hit up the one in longmont sometime next week. they have many of the stage 3 obstacles which i am dying to try.
