I know they had VERY mixed reviews and issues with previous models.

I'm wondering if anyone uses the newest mars pro ii cree 128 and epistar models

Mars Pro series is actually really good man. Especially if you are just a hobbyist and not looking into commercial growing

Pass

I would be more inclined to just buy a knockoff 3590 fixture of AliButtBubba at least they might be real and have datasheets, etc....

What???? So you are working for mars or you believe everything mars says in advertising.

Someone said those panels use mostly epi small small amount of actual cree and they're not the latest greatest bin they're the cheap shit.

Wait. They claim it's equivalent to 800w hid.

But uses 760w?? I'd believe that. Shows what an inefficient POS it is.

Power output: Bloom: 700~760w | Growth: 500~530w | Seedling 155~185w

HID equivalent: 800 watts

lol , so sad , member since tuesday and already spewing garbage.
Man you guys get so butthurt on this site it's literally unbelievable haha. Yeah I was a member on GC for 5 years, grew HID, LED, and fluro starting off....

It's ok though, because even though I've only been a member for less than a week, I've seen plenty of the BS you post...

sure. yeah a low PPF fixture dominates a high PPF fixture.....educate us all please....Your maff fucking sucks, but mine doesnt......
Fuck your math, I got a degree in microbio and masters in botany, you can shove your math where the light don't hit buddy

No they have all CREE or ALL EPI, depending on which model you get. Cree have 4 chips, epi have 5

Is it the most efficient? Nah, definitely not man, but it's not a bad light. I've used both mars and amare, got similar results but the amare cost 200$ more.

I'm doing a COB build now, hopefully they give results like everyone says. The way you guys hype them up to be, I'll be pissed if I dont get 2gpw out of 250....

I've used just about every light you can imagine man,
HID Cheap bulbs (hortilux, cheap ultra sun bulbs and another mid brand I can't recall)
Fluro's (screw these, except for veg, not terrible)
LED ( Amare, blackdog, mars, viparspectre, cheap ebay panel (populargro), Eshine, and cheap cobs as well from ebay)

Amare was perhaps the "best" but not much better than the mars, eshine were also average along with the vipar.

I'm not sponsored by anybody, just a small hobby grower who likes buying products

I don't see the logic in them. They performan similar watt to watt as hid. Cost a lot more. I'd have bought a DE over this if I didn't care about wattage usage.

...Or maybe just responding to ridiculous and outrageous claims?
It's ridiculous that you guys don't even answer the OP's question and instead bash a user giving his honest opinion. What's ridiculous about a 750 watt led giving out over 1 gpw? That's ridiculous to you? I mean come on really!?

I don't see the logic in them. They performan similar watt to watt as hid. Cost a lot more. I'd have bought a DE over this if I didn't care about wattage usage.
That's logical to you of course, but for someone who is starting off and maybe doesn't want to spend on excessive cooling costs may not find it illogical to buy a Mars Pro 160, which is like 300$ and can easily provide an adequate amount of medicine to a person in need? Does that sound illogical? because that is why this post was created, asking about a Mars 160

If you think your education was useless then that sucks and I can't help you.
