A man died Wednesday night after being shot by police in Falcon Heights, the aftermath of which was recorded in a video widely shared on Facebook in which the man’s girlfriend says the “police shot him for no apparent reason, no reason at all.”

The man, identified by relatives as Philando Castile, 32, a St. Paul schools employee, died at HCMC, according to an uncle. The shooting followed a traffic stop near Larpenteur Avenue and Fry Street.

It's the daily dose of death by cop; 'if we keep killing people, eventually folks will just get used to it.'

We call ourselves a nation of laws.

Not unless EVERYONE is equally accountable.

Germany has over 100 million population. The police there have killed less than 20 people in the last 10 years!

Your thread title is incorrect; 'Apparently it's open season ON America'.

The cop panicked. You can hear him panicking afterwards. Woman is lucky he didn't shoot her too.

There needs to be stiff penalties for events like this. The man obviously does not have the temperment to be a cop.

Also, notifying a cop that you have a legal firearm should not result in them treating you like a criminal.

Do asians count as white?

Sad that this happened. The police state will get worse. This is by design.

She seemed pretty calm considering what just happened.

Why no immediate medical attention? Suppose to shoot to subdue then proceed to help them with gunshot, not shoot and watch bleed out.

She had to be. There was a 3 year old in the back seat. They just let bleed out.

They already have stiff penalties for this, its called murder. The problem is in America the law no longer applies equally. Ask any cop who has killed someone, ask Hillary Clinton :)

I am all against cops killing people (black people included), however the #BLM movement seems to ignore all the violence, shooting and crime in primarily black neighborhoods like Chicago, Baltimore, etc... So #BLM doesn't care if a black person kills another black person, they apparently only dislike when a white person (or a cop) kills a black person, so I see them as a bit hypocritical.


Edit: Also, this is nothing new, just now we have social media, and cell phones that can record it and bring it to light.

Black on black crime is not the issue these police are supposed to protect and serve not murder black people or any people as it ain't just black just happens to be mostly black.
