know several people using aeroponic systems and as long as u do not use nutes that dont dissolve 100% and clean the system right after you are done useing it they never had a proplem.

if i use liquid nutes and clean resv. often i was wondering if my misting system would clog too. FF said to use a fine mesh netpot but i was wondering if that would stunt the growth of large roots.

how come? ive always read/heard, the large the root system, the larger the plant, the larger the yield....

I would think someone wanting to grow hydroponically would have already investigated this. Would you need to go out and get food if it were already there for you?

i have researched this. ive heard that hydro/aero systems produce root systems that fill up a whole 2ga pale. they might not be "looking" for food per say, but if theyre flourishing why wouldn they grow big? ive seen pics of root system drooping 3-4ft from small 2ft plants. anyway, i apprec. the sarcasm, if it's such a waste of your time to help, why reply and be irritated by growers that are just learning?

Know thats the main biotch with AG is it dont have enough room for roots. I've talked to folks on here who claim success with 4 plants at once. Guess it aint too bad. Now they grow all up into the pump and stuff.

that's what i was wondering too...if the pump would get in the way. i just like the idea of aero better bc more of the roots are exposed to air vs lets say a DWC hydro system.

I am currently making a Aeroponics DVD. Depends on mister size and pump power. The pumps I use now are around $250 each (low volume high psi) Very few people are actually using true aeroponics (.05 micron droplets).
I only recomend that experenced growers try aeroponics (unless you are rich).

Hey Simple Grower - that's not only the problem, it's also the solution. You see you just need to pick one and get growing/started. Try going with something very inexpensive and simple (no pun intended) to use. Why lay out hundreds or thousands on something that you WILL have a learning curve on. There is no getting around it! Your first grow is probably not going to be all that great. It WILL be problematic - heat issues, pests, PH problems, RH issues and the list goes on.

My suggestion is to start with something low maintenance like Hempy Buckets, drip systems or a simple (again no pun) ebb&flo/flood&drain system.

There is a great tutorial on Hempy right here on RIU at ... https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/59705-hempy-collective.html and for drip and ebb&flo systems check out the YouTube video... I Grow Chronic... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KVO26htvoQ

hey widow women thanks for the reply,um yer i bin growin on and off for the past 7 years,i started off in a system called turbo tanks, there pretty basic but dam they were good,ya dont hear much aboutem these days wich is a shame, they varied in differant sizes, and werent to costly....i just thought id go up a notch or two into the advanced area,iv made my own simliar to ffs ideas, dam talk about water leaks!!! hard to get the right container that has the right grooves, ive just spent the last 3hours doin sum mods and a few changers(thank fuk for plastic glue guns lol) and im just seeing how it goes, the problem with the seedlings was that wen they were first put in,nutes were added, but were to high so yer the little girls didnt like that much..goin to simple straight water with a good ph has bring them back pretty quik, just from my first post this mornin till now is a big change in life for them, over the years of lending equipment to mates(BAD IDEA) they have had raids ect and unfortunatly i lost alot of expensive equipment, testers ect....now to get to the end of this now is what are the speacial nutes to use for aeros? i could search google this forum ect,but willin to get sum straight up info, and one more thing,TDscan 1 meters, are they anyhelp for measurings nutes? i know there old,tho at this stage is all i have, but know f all aboutem, and theres not alot to surf on the net about them either, i will never get over loosing my truncheon, they are the BEST cheers
