Specter shift puts Dems near filibuster-proof mark AP - Tue Apr 28, 7:24 PM ET
WASHINGTON - Veteran Republican Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania switched parties Tuesday with a suddenness that seemed to stun the Senate, a moderate's defection that pushed Democrats to within a vote of the 60 needed to overcome filibusters and enact President Barack Obama's top legislative priorities.

Spector is the first to feel the coming purge in the Republican Party. No more Republican-lite allowed. The leader of the Republican National Committee has already said that the RNC will not be funding the campaigns of the likes of Spector or Olympia Snow.

A political whore is your hero? That's pretty sad. Anyone that thinks he switched over to be a Dem because of ideals is an idiot. He's addicted to power, and his switch BACK (he used to be a Dem before!) to the other side of the aisle is nothing more than a coward trying to save his political ass. His voting record shows he's been a republican in name since before Waco and Ruby Ridge. His claims that the party moved away from him are beyond assinine, once and for all proving how out of touch with reality he truly is- like MOST politicians. I'll admit, the republican party during the last two election cycles has shifted, but only an out of touch idiot like Arlen Specter would think it shifted too far to the right. The pulse of most conservatives out there believe that the party strayed from it's traditional core values, spent like out of control liberals, and were hardly distinguishable from the dems anymore. True political (not religious) conservatives like myself had as much to do with making sure a "liberal republican" like John McCain didn't end up sitting in the oval office as all the idiots that worship Obama like he's the second coming.

history channel showed without a doubt that kennedy was killed by a gunmen standing on the 14th floor of that building. they did a mock test from all angles using a ballistic dummy.

I personaly like spector and this move.
he adds to the conservative dem voice of reason. hes a chicken hawk that the dems now have to deal with. this is simply a brillant move on the repubs part.

hu..thats odd there is a competition every year where a convertable with a dummy is pulled around behind a truck . and the contestants try and shoot the dummy in the head with a bolt action carkano rifle.twice..LOL in less than a second..
so far the best shooters in the world cant do it.

the republicans have stated that they are not going to fund any moderate candidates next election.
no money was going to go to arlen specter . he was about to lose his primary to a conservative .
it is said the RNC is not going to fund olympia snows campaign either.
it is still speculated arlen is going to lose this election to the republican.

...and a sharpshooter was used to reenact the crime, wich he did flawlessly.
the only question left, is why and did someone put oswald up to it.

The distance from the book depostitory window to JFKs head was 81 m which is less than 100 yards. Talk about an easy shot. Oswald took 3 shots in 8 seconds. Any body with a little bit of training could take these shots, Hell an average deer hunter could make those shots.

I doubt it. The first shot would be the easiest, after that you'd have to find the target in the scope, don't forget it's moving. They've also fired that round through all sorts of mediums to see what happens to it and it always came out distorted in some manner, not pristine like the one that magically dropped out onto Connoleys stretcher. The Warren report was a big fucking lie, period.
