Dr. Dank,

If you are looking to get seeds instead of bud when would be the best time to harvest the plant?

Thanks, Gilfman

Did u add Growbig threw week 3-5 every feed and add Bbloomz everyother?
well since u flushed recently have u switched to BB,TB and Cha-ching yet? Whats your light source?
I use all FF products myself. But i also use Lightwarrior for better drainage i water every 3 days and mix it with OceanForest 60/40 in 5gal pot after all transplants. But in first pot i use 70/30mix and also during veg. I add more LW, i just firgure it makes roots very happy.
I started with the Grow Big on week 4 after I had thought most of the goodies in the FFOF would be used up. They were so green and healthy before I started using any fert. No browning, nothing yellow, and growing vigorlisy. I started with the Big Bloom at 2 TBSP a gallon along with the Grow at 1 tsp per gallon. I then switched to additionally using Open Sesame at slightly under 1/2 tsp per gallon and then now Beastie Boomz at about 1/2 tsp per gallon. I use 1.5-2 tsp of the Tiger per gallon. I am not sure the plants can handle all the nutes....I don't know why though as I see others on this site really max out their nutes and the plants love it. Mine seem not so much. I don't understand the yellowing? My PH seems right on at 6.8 in my soil and run off.

Also I am actually taking a sample of my brew to buddies right now and he has a meter to test PPM - I've got the brew before I fed and then after to see how much they are eating of what's available. I've got 2 400hps running now for blooming and had halide for veg. Any further input appreciated. Some more pics attached in case someone has gone through something similar. Thanks all.

If I buy a clone in rockwool can I put it directly in soil, and if so would I water just the same as if it had grown from a seedling?

Ok doc. just bought a EZ cloner and have never tried to use anthing but soil. So my question is do i leave the pump on all time time or say on for 1 min off for 5? any info would be appreciated.

Treat the rockwool in soil just like a seedling from start in the soil... No worries.

----------

I had a bunch of EZ cloners, I didn't really like them so much...

To answer your question, leave the misters on all the time.

Now let me elaborate on the EZ cloner...

They do work, some people have great results... But, they're a pain in the ass to clean.

The neoprene plugs wear out over time, and are costly to replace.

What you might decide to do is substitute the neoprene plugs with rockwool clone cubes...

Just put the cube over the hole, and set the misters to come on a little bit every now and then, like once an hour...

You'll see what I'm talking about once you use it... It's kinda a pain in the ass...

Plus they sometimes don't stand up, and after you plant you may have trouble keeping them upright.

The rockwool is still just as good for hydro as the stem with roots.

Just make sure the water doesn't get too warm.

The seed bracks will open up and you will see some browning at the ends of the seeds---I like to let the buds go 2 weeks longer than the strain ripens at.---also dry the buds out as you norm would(makes getting the seed out a lot easier.)----save a few seeds from each bud and germinate to make sure they are viable. Most strains will produce dark seeds with unique stripes that are hard and dense in various sizes(just like us:lol::lol::lol:) but some are a lighter green in color. when in doubt---germ a few.

Hello again Doc,
This time my problem is with my clones which are in its 3rd week of veg:

4 clones in root riot which are in clay pebbles. All 4 clones have developed tiny yellow spots on the higher leaves (a little difficult to notice in the pics but please take a look) & it doesnt look like they are going away so Im going to give them BioBizz nutes, yes I know its too early for that so Im only adding half a millilitre to 230ml of PHed (@ 5.6) water. Ill be transferring them in the 4 pot Atami Wilma system soon.
Ive been watering the clones by misting the clay pebbles until water is leaked out the bottom of the pots which is when I stop & give them a shake to clear away the excess, IS THIS THE CORRECT WAY TO HAND WATER CLONES IN ROOT RIOT CUBES WHICH ARE IN CLAY PEBBLES?

so the plants are 6 weeks old from seeds. about a foot tall, been doing 12/12 lighting for a week now and there are absolutely no signs of any sex at all.... just new leaf structures forming. 8 cfl's (32watt) and a 250w mh, well vented, nutes are perfect. any help?

you might want to cover the tops of those pots. also your plants are streching pretty far, i would get your lights closer. IMO

Seems you use less than I do with good results. I tested the PPM of the nutes I gave the other night and it was 625PPM. Not too much I wouldn't think given my buddy is up to 1200 with his ladies, hydro however.

Touch base on iloveit's post...

It's normal for the fans to get completely yellowed out on clones, the nitrogen within them is getting used to produce roots...

I also clip off the tips of all the fans, and remove the lower growth, they root faster, instead of focusing on growing fan leaves they focus on growing roots.

gjdubbz- An ambient intake will be good enough. You won't need an intake fan.

Make it simple

I think a 300CFM would be PLENTY.

Just make a straight shot through the cooltube with an ambient intake (open end)

You can either suck air from inside the grow space, through the filter/fan, then through the cooltube, and out the box.

Or set the fan outside the box, and the filter and cooltube inside.

There are many options, just make sure the amount of ductwork is kept to a minimum, excees ductwork causes more drag, called static resistance. The shorter the line the more efficient. :leaf:
