So whats the deal with these led strips thay seemed pretty cheap when i saw so e on eb so all od ned is to nook them up to a driver and put that on a frame ?

They are more honest than almost everyone, they tell you exactly what wavelength are their diodes they tell you the PAR readings, and they show you the spectrum. They tell you the wattage at the power point, 326 for the PAR700W and they tell you the wattage of the LEDs and the brand, Epiled and Bridgelux.

It's up to you to understand that the 700W refer to the 140 5W diodes that are used. No one drives their diodes at their rated wattage because the heat would make them fail too quickly.

Where exactly is the lie, what is important is how much electricity does it use and how much light does it produce and what is the spectrum. Give me a link to someone else's LED where they are not "lying"?

It's like when a hi fi shops tells you that their unit is 100W it's up to you to know that mean Peak and not RMS, but viparspectra are not being sly and slippery like Hardly Normal, giving the rating as the nominal wattage of the LED multiplied by how many their are is standard practice.

Watts is not and never has been a measurement of light output for horticultural LED, it's a measure of power, of joules/second.

I'm not 100% happy with my soil mix, the texture isn't how I'd like it so I've got a bale of Peat moss to add and see how it looks after that

Hey Coco you normally use grow bags on your outdoor grows. Will 30 gallon bags be big enough for a full season sativa? Our vege period is 2-3 months

I usually screen my compost before I start my mix. I just use aviary mesh

so much variety in how Texas butters look. all are slightly different with a few phenos that look like they about pack on some serious weight, 1 is soo stretchy I can only see golf ball size nuggets at best on that one.

So far I have; 2 re-vegged Apollo 11 x Purple Badlands, 1 re-vegged Greenpoint Pig Whistle, 3 KC Brains Bango, 1 Hazeman Madness, 1 Ace Tropical Mix

I asked ace seeds directly and apparently the tropical mix seeds I have can either be Honduras, Ethiopian, Zamaldelica or Old Timers Haze

How do you deal with the heat in small area with those lights?.my grow can for seedlings and clones gets hot enough with just a 150w fluro

Got a 4 inch extraction fan atm. Temps are getting up there atm and I wont be able to run the hps over summer. Hopefully I can afford to get the parts to build the second led rig for that space.
