This is really agitating. The picture I posted shows auto's when they're topped. Nothing goes wrong with topping them.
Show me on that thread where he says he used 15/9.
I looked over it and didn't see any mention of it.
oh soz bro i didnt know what u ment. i posted him asking if he grew them indoors first ad he said yes just untll they poped thru the surface then they went outdoors, then i said wouldint 12/12 light outdoors decrease size and yield and he said that he grew them when the days were long at 15/9 light. so.... post him if you dont beleve me !!!!

Hi everyone, about to start my first grow today, got 3 Auto AK47 seeds germinating and should be ready to plant tonight. Ordered 5 fem seeds and received 10 which was a bonus. Will be growing under 600w HPS from start to finish growing in Biobizz all mix organic soil in 3 gallon pots. I was just wondering if it's Ok to water the plants with normal tap water? Also if anyone who has grown this strain previously has any tips I would greatly appreciate it.

Will also be doing a grow journal.

Hi everyone, I'm fairly new here. A few days ago I started the grow journal in my signature. I am growing Easy Ryder in a completely DIY PC grow case using bubbleponics and ScrOG. I plan on keeping fairly detailed records, and as far as I know not too many folks dabble in PC case hydro grows, so perhaps my journal can become a good reference for those intrigued by or wanting to learn about the genre.

I won't be germinating for about a week yet, but I've almost completely assembled my case and I'm in the middle of some temperature and circulation tests. In the mean time, hopefully we can have some interesting discussion about all things in our little niche. Attached is a bit of a teaser picture of my case and hydro unit active. Enjoy!

Okay so 120w led is equivalent to a 400-600w hps light but the leds take less energy grow the plants better and last 5 to 10 times longer then a hps set up.. So me and my associates are doing a led grow and we figured it 2 this... 1 120w led light= about 5 or 6 plants sooo long story short were gonna start of with 40 plants 20 each that means 4 lights each... Does any1 else think this is a good idea?? each plant will b in a 3gal bag

Little tough to tell with only the shower curtain for scale, but it looks like a pretty nice yield. Interested to know what the final tally is when it's dried and weighed.

Wow, that' a really nice HUUUUUUUUUUUGE picture of two light bulbs.... Could've answered the question without any illustrations lol.

2 issues... how much light you need, and what kind of light. Although Autos don't have a true "Veg" stage, 6500K is what you want for them until they start to flower, and then 2700K until harvest. You could also have a mix throughout and it wouldn't hurt probably. As far as how much light you need, figure 5000 Lumens per square foot should be fine. Calculate the size of your grow box and go from there.

Best guess, you'd probably be ok with two 42 watt bulbs putting out around 2600 Lumens each, but if you have room for more bulbs and you're not concerned about the electricity bill, more light can only help (assuming you can keep the temps down from the radiant heat). Two 42s and two 23s would definitely do the job quite nicely. Try and find bulbs that put out the most lumens for the same number of watts, not all bulbs are created equal.

Tap water isn't ideal, but if you're going to use it make sure you let it set out for a few days before using it. That'll help to dissipate the chlorine in it. A Brita filter or something similar would also help. After that you still need to test and adjust the PH balance of the water. You can pick up a cheap kit for around $15-$20 online or at a local hydro shop, which will allow you to test and adjust the PH of the water. You'll want a PH somewhere around 6.2-6.5. My tap water is pretty acidic, so I always have to add Base to bring it down to the desired PH. I also use a faucet mounted Brita filter.

@SOA || ASI - Never gets old looking at pictures like that ;). Yum

Oh, and I don't think those 2700K rays are gonna hurt anything at all. As long as it's getting enough 6500K Lumens you should be just fine. Some people actually like to use a mixture of spectrums, but I don't really know if anybody's done a scientific side-by-side comparison of a mixed/full spectrum grow vs. using only 6500K for veg and 2700K for flower (using the same amount of Lumens of course). Would be interested to know the results.
