I'd like to see you get one and test it for us all. you'd need to run it like a 1kw HPS because the center would need to have some good distance from canopy to not bleach the buds. ultimately, you could use the same money and DIY a light with timber grow light kits and for same money and same number of cobs you'd make it cover a 5'x5' like i did.....

Its a lot of light in 1 fixture for sure!

there is a Chinese company called "cree cobs" so not necessarily MO: COBS by cree.

normal Chinese stuff, turn a reference term in to a item or product..

anyways, better products about.

hate the reflectors, for no real reason. enough fans though???

I question the rebranded bcblondes thermal management on the "stuffed" big units, but I could be easily wrong..........some confirmation pics on the cxb bin and MW driver(s) used would be nice too:)

good luck op

I LOVE how in the link it says "do not buy a china clone" yet these, like nearly all led fixtures are made in china. I have costed a similar light for significantly less. I do not remember exact specs, but decided for the price to build my own. I believe price was in the $600 range.

Plus, as mentioned that is a lot of light in a small area. I wanted more spread.

I just noticed it said you can't diy for that price. BS. I diy'd 16 top bin cxb3590's for 1220 shipped..... sure I dont have that enclosure but you can definitely diy for that price.

I was considering bcblondes because I like the idea of saving on shipping ordering from a canadian company and overall cheaper price per watt. However, everytime I tried to cheap out on LEDs it has never payed off,... also I kept seeing china fixtures on ebay that looked exactly like bcblondes... so I decided to order from a reputable company, again.

I was looking at a PLC and almost pulled the plug but they were sold out on the one I wanted and short on cash I went with a timber kit again, a bit cheaper overall. The kit I bought back in June seem to be doing the job alright except that the frame I built is really shitty... I can always rebuild them some day, for now, as long as the COBs are shining on plant matter... its all good. Ever since I started getting good results with LEDs years ago it always has been around $3/watt, that 300 watts kit will come delivered just under $900 CAD and can build a frame for free almost.

Looking forward to hear from someone that ordered from bcblondes.

How about the A51 lights?

Well I thought they were not even in business anymore... for a while I read on here that Jeff wouldnt get back to people in a timely manner and stuff and all the lights were always sold out. I wish I had known he had new stuff out and I should have looked! I am happy with the Timber kits. It seemed like the A51 are a bit more expensive now, since the sgs160 came out I think they have always been slightly over priced. I think I got lucky with A51s both time I bought from them I think I got their best lights. At the time, the AF600 were really dominating, they are still kicking ass in my garden. And the A51 90w VERO I bought a year or 2 ago are some of my best lights I own as well, solid, run cool, powerful, versatile ... I think if you can afford PLC have the nicest fixtures, and Timber the cheapest almost ready to plug in kits, but AREA51 has always delivered for me.

I dont know about the enclosure. I mentioned that I do not have that enclosure. But I am fairly certain one can easily be sourced on alibaba. Although it is not needed. Unless you want that "professional" look. Here are mine. Over 3x3 trays. You could build one for your 4x4 and fit 16. tmp_29042-IMAG19351648079308.jpg
