Best headband genetics?

I've been interested in hazeman's headband recently. But it's difficult to find info on because of his other strain, hippie headband - which I think has a different male in the cross (off the top of my head, something with the aloha white widow in it). But lots of seed sites mix the two up, and after reading around, it's impossible to determine the difference between the two.

but the 'hazeman headband' is supposedly the (purple urkle x loompa headband) x loompa headband bx (made by loompa). so lots of loompa ;)

the only thing I cannot tell, is if it's special or not. So I just convinced myself to pick up a pack anyways. at $60/pk why not. But if anyone has any experience with it, I'd love to hear it. good or bad.
I picked a pack up earlier this year, and Loompa's gear in the cross was definitely part of the decision. I am hoping to run them early next year though, so no actual grow report. I was just talking about them to a friend who loves Headband, so maybe I can get them to run a few to get an idea of what to expect. Cheers and happy hunting!

cool. I'm glad it's sparked someone else's interest too. It'd be really nice to find a pheno leaning heavy loompa headband with a nice short flowering time. I may just pick up two packs now. I have enough gear for the next two years, I love/hate choosing what to run next.

The phenos i got from my Sour Kush from Reserva were pretty stable. You either got Diesel structure or OG kush structure. The buds pretty much all looked similar once done and smelled and tasted sorta similar. I only ran 5 of them. Found 2 keepers but really they were all keepers.

The Cali connection headband 818 isnt headband either. Ive seen decent pics and reports here and there but i dont buy Cali connection gear anymore, every time i run his gear i get crappy seeds or weak plants.

Id also look into Fuel by Connosseur genetics. Its similar to Sour Kush but alittle Chem thrown in there instead of OG.
Now i know why...and i thought i was doing something wrong germjng my seeds

Headband in my experience is a generic term for a high yielding upper medium potency sour diesel x og kush hybrid. Many seed makers and growers claim to have "headband". Whoever was close to the circle in the early days of "headband" has the real deal. You probably dont have it. I know mines not. Like any clone only its near impossible to find the same phenotype in a close representation (sometimes not) seed plant with the same name. I know at least 2 dozen growers that sat they have headband. Me included (i actually call it sour og). Guezz what? We dont. The name itself doesnt mean shit anymore. Everyone has a version. Different phenos from different seed makers. Growers call it headband because they either acquired the cut from someone calling it that or they bought seeds from a seedmaker calling it that (shame). For instance....i bought Gorilla Glue #4 at the first Michigan Cup. Iam almosr certain it is an s1. Its close but nope. Not the real clone only. Yes there is that much of a difference. The yeild on my gg#4 isnt there....at all.

Another for instance....my "headband" is sweet fruity smelling with an upper medium potency that is one of the best most consistent yielders i have. I have grown it for years now. I refuse to call it headband out of principle. I call it sour og. But it is what it is and what its not.....its not headband. Growers who pay attention seperate between the little details. Most growers do not...hence the confusion.

Great post and to add to the confusion... Loompas headband, isn't headband at all. Only by name.

my point is.... with a big smile on my face :)

Who gives a shit really? it wasn't the original question anyways, and it's humerous you think people aren't privy to these types of things.

with that said, I still have the real headband, gg4, and chem91 :hump: so neener, neener... neeeener.

You got to learn how to pick em son. Learn how to lick em son. Learn how to stick em son.....between the thighs. Try not to beat em too much. Try not to teach em too much. Try not to feed em too much....bullshit and lies. - David Allen Coe.

"One fish
Two fish
Red fish
Blue fish.
Black fish
Blue fish
Old fish
New fish.
This one has a little star.
This one has a little car.
Say! What a lot
Of fish there are.
Yes. Some are red. And some are blue.
Some are old. And some are new.
Some are sad.
And some are glad.
And some are very, very bad.
Why are they
Sad and glad and bad?
I do not know.
Go ask your dad.
Some are thin.
And some are fat.
The fat one has
A yellow hat.
From there to here, from here to there,
Funny things
Are everywhere.
Here are some
Who like to run.
They run for fun
In the hot, hot sun.
Oh me! Oh my!
Oh me! Oh my!
What a lot
Of funny things go by.
Some have two feet
And some have four.
Some have six feet
And some have more.
Where do they come from? I can’t say.
But I bet they have come a long, long way.
We see them come.
We see them go.
Some are fast.
And some are slow.
Some are high
And some are low.
Not one of them
Is like another.
Don’t ask us why.
Go ask your mother. "

That was fun, what's next?
