Best place to buy Predatory Insects? Urgent

The bugs take about 8 days to kick in not weeks.
Can't pick them up easily where I live, have to be ordered, so you add that time on and you're at weeks aren't you. But I have not used them, I'll admit that. Never needed to to be honest, just some iso or citrus acid or some green clean has always done the trick. But you got me curious, after 8 days before the "kick in" how long before they eradicate them and are they dead for good or will they come back if you don't replenish the predator supply?

You could have them dead within minutes if you keep stuff you need around though.

Waiting for any predatory insects is madness …
You have to hammer the bastards NOW. Mite eggs begin hatching every 3-5 days … adults can live up to month. So tell me why waiting is good. ?

Mighty wash the plant , knock the numbers down , hit it with one form of chemical treatment then reverse and use a different one at next treatment.

I use a simple ISO / water spray 5:1 and torch the fuckers on site. An alternative is dropping ISO for food safe grain alcohol like EVERCLEAR … that one i do 2 part water to 1 everclear and nuke them eggs and all. I put plant in tub for this. First application mist over and under …. Wait 15 minutes then blast them again. Alcohol element will evaporate quickly
I get away with going 50/50 with the iso, but the first time I used it I sprayed the shit out of the garden, went nuclear on them, when it was all said and done I almost lit up a joint to celebrate good job done before I stopped realizing I was about to blow my room up probably with all the iso I had been spaying.

Use Predatory Mites
There are many varieties of predator mites. Get those best suited to the environment of the garden. Apply predator mites at the earliest sign of infestation. Most predator species reproduce faster than spider mites, but if the mites get a good head start, the predator population can never catch up. Even in optimal conditions, control with predator mites is very difficult. Four effective species are Phytoseiulus persimilis, Amblyseius swirskii, Amblyseius fallacis and N. californicus.

In the same article the use of citric acid is mentioned numerous times as a treatment to eradicate mites.

"For best results, apply andersoni to cannabis plants when pest mite numbers are still low. The predatory mites will then be able to feed on small colonies of mites and prevent them from growing and causing major damage."

Preventative and curative controls

The two key biocontrol products used in medicinal cannabis for spider mite control are Californicus-System and Phytoseiulus-System.

Amblyseius californicus is a predatory mite best used as a preventative control for spider mites. It is able to colonise plants and survive in the absence of the pest by eating pollen and other sources of nutrition - such as fungal spores and hyphae. It controls spider mites by locating small populations and predating upon them - containing and slowing their development; however, it is not so effective at operating within webbing or dense colonies.

Curative option

In this situation, the predatory mite Phytoseiulus-System is an excellent curative choice. Able to move easily through webbing, it can entirely and quickly eradicate a population of spider mites if the outbreak is caught in time.

Regular scouting is important, as while Californicus can dramatically slow down a spider mite outbreak and reduce it from spreading, detecting hotspots early and treating with a curative predator - such as Phytoseiulus - is also important to maintain control.

Even places that sell predatory mites imply that they're more of a preventative rather than a cure once an outbreak occurs.

I'll continue spraying citric acid if I find any mites. I know it works immediately and is safe. I'm not going to just sit by waiting for one bug to eat another bug. I'm going to kill the bugs now. Not tomorrow, not in 8 days, but right now within minutes.

Predatory insects work better for preventative.

Edit.....I see it's already been said.

So with these products, they all work well and will keep pest away.

Cucumeries work well with going after adult thrips and eating them of plants.

With these you never have to spray plants and once bugs are gone, they stay away.

I have already given alot away In today's markets, good luck on whatever works for you. The science is proven.

"People saying they work better for preventative have never used them and it really shows."

Never speak on products you haven't used.

These iradicate problems, but it's not for me to teach the newer growers online. I see what you are all growing!

Oh yeah high and mighty because I'm showing actual products that work. Do whatever works for you. This was for the original grower and @DaFreak .
But you: joined forum's 2019. I'm sure you have everything down lol... You know it all and have the good genetics.

No I don't, and no I don't, but I don't claim to. I learn everyday, including today, just not from you. I'm not saying predatories don't work (I have plenty of them), but they're better for preventative. You were shown evidence of this in a previous post. If they were the easiest, best way to eradicate an infestation, don't you think everybody would just do that?

And I still haven't seen what you're growing for the claim that you made to be valid! I see a shit ton of great grows on here! I don't know what you mean by "I see what you are all growing".

Every commercial grower uses preds and a lot of us home growers too. If you read the jars at the dispensary that is the way to grow clean weed. I know they spray stuff for ipm but they also have to get tested before sales

I agree! I use predatory mites.... as a preventative. I just had thrips a few months back...With predatory insects. Dr zymes, is clean and wiped them out. Immediately! I'm not saying to not use predatory insects, by all means, use them, but as a part of a ipm, not as the only solution.

People are not on that level so they don't use those predators.

The ones that really use them in there gardens never look back and know how to properly implement 100%.

I'm glad you spoke in to what Commercial Growers use @sdd420 !

They keep say prevention when they are use to clean up infestation...

Spraying weed is so 1990s.

Not every country laws allow for growing and the product selection is not what you consider standard. They simple are not a choice for many growers. Citric acid is sold the world over. I am sure they are lovely, and I am sure they work, because I've been reading about them for decades. Personally I think the advice should go like this, "Yeah mate, predatory mites kick ass, order them, in the meantime go down to your super and pick up citric acid."

I won't speak on what I don't know; In North America they are accepted. I have seen them with other International offices.

Do what works for you at the end of the day..

Predators are not intended to eradicate an infestation. They're meant to be used as part of an IPM or introduced AFTER the infestation has has been brought under control.

You finally found a solution to your bug problem with predators. Thats great but why you come on the forums and try to argue with seasoned gardeners is still truly a mystery.

Citric acid 5 pounds for $23. Makes about 40 gallons.

56 oz Sesame oil $21. Will make well over 100 gallons depending on strength. Some plants can take more. You can spray a stronger solution on the hardy leaves of a rose bush than you can on cannabis before phototoxicity.

Of course they are. "Seasoned growers please" I have been on this forum and others thcfarm growing way longer and better genetics. This is a solution used across many spray, miticides.

You showing that you are not a seasoned in which you speak. If you add a Neem solution too your media initially, followed by soil mites and mites to be added on your leaves that will irradicate.

So this is one topic I am very new to. I understand the basic concepts, but am unsure where I should order from. I am looking at persimilis and californicus, for spider mites.

I was looking at https://www.arbico-organics.com/product/mite-predator-neoseiulus-californicus-spidermite-killer/mite-predators?gclid=Cj0KCQjwsZKJBhC0ARIsAJ96n3W8cfEDVZx5MJS7YOhwFqgxOhLtqFHpsHViaQCttJC4ttRpQnOma8EaAvGNEALw_wcB

Any suggestions would really be great. Spider mites have caused me a ton of stress, and my plants are too big to just throw away. I’ve done a lot of reading and searching, but really can’t find any good answers.
