Just cut my first grow in a bloombox and probably will get 6+ ozs when dried. I just started my second grow, but got rid of the hydro tub and am gonna try coco/perlite in 2 gallon smart pots. Hopefully I can get a better yield.

So I'm still not clear if the bloombox is wroth the buy or not. There's so many mixed reviews it's hard to figure out if I should go for it or not. I just want a good quality product. If that means spending the five grand I will, but if it's a plant killer there is no point. Someone please give me some more info on here or e-mail me [email protected]. Thanks!

I have had mine for over 4 years and I am very happy with it...The first year I ran 3 consecutive grows back-to back, now I run two a year. I am NOT a seller of MJ...the harvest is for me and family and it suits me just fine. It is a real learning curve with these boxes, but after you get it dialed in, it pretty much runs itself, you just change the Nutz Reserve then sit and watch. Not trying to ramble on here, but some points I'd make are: 1) I bought mine new from BCNL when the prices were half what they are today. I'd asked them if they have a "trade-in" or try to find a used one on craigslist! 2) Unless you live in Alaska - heat IS an issue with these boxes. Most folks that own these have made some modifications to them - including me! I've added a 1/15 HP Water chiller to mine and no longer have any root rot issues. 3) I've grown many different strains, but now stick with C-99 (a stavia) because it's a quick flowering time, I love the cerebral high and Cindy 99 has a very nice smell - (although I'm a legal AZ MJ Patient smell isn't an issue for me..but it can be for some folks.) 4). You will NEVER grow 9 plants on the flowering side. I grow from seed and usually end up with 3-4 females and that makes up my harvest. 5) Rather than use the CFL's on the veg side, I use a 400w MH light on the flowering side for veg time, then switch to a HPS bulb for flowering, the plants never leave their netpot positions 6.) My last yield was just over 5oz' dried and cured. I'm just elated to know I can grow my own without trouble - legal or hassle-wise!!! Finally, there are many on here/RIU that will scoff at the whole notion of "steathboxes" and bitch about the pricing, how they can built one cheaper, yada, yada, yada. The Producer and Bloombox are QUALITY made machines. Not plastic, or made from a filing cabinet. This is they only purpose they serve. Make your own judgement taking in the needs that suit YOU (yield, grow space size, time, effort and convenience, not to mention the CO2 feature). Please ask anything else you'd like to know!
